You can walk to the counter of EPTA - Car Rental & Tours Sdn. Bhd. (lgk) car rental.

Once you have collected your luggage, please head for Epta Counter at the Arrival Hall. If the counter is unattended, you may contact our friendly staff who will come to your attendance,with tel number 010-2763433 Jos or 019-5614700 Khairul 010-3813908 Wan or 012-4643938 Keri or 017-5499800 Fizan. For personal reasons (late flights / other emergencies) you need to delay the pick-up,please call us. After hours pick-up or drop-off will be charged out of hour fee 25-50MYR per time.

Please Contact the staff in advance, the store staff will go to the airport waiting for you to return the car. After hours pick-up or drop-off will be charged out of hour fee MYR 50-150 per time.

    Like: I like that the staff was punctual during my pick up. Also they were professional in identifying the scratches and dents of the car made by previous drivers so that I would never be wrongly blamed for those damages.
    Dislike: They were a bit slow to arrive when it was due to return the car to them. This caused me to be almost late for my flight check in.

    Like: This car has a millage balance indicator, so you know how many miles more you can go with the balance fuel in your car. That is really cool, so we can extimate if we need to pump petrol or not.
    Dislike: I forgot to call them before I reach the airport during drop off. I called them only when I arrived at the airport, the Langkawi airport do not allow me to put the car at the road side just to wait for them to come pick up the car, so I was a little stressed up during drop off the car. They came very fast, within 5 minutes they arrived and took back the car. It was the airport people's problem, there were plenty of space for me to just park for a few minutes , and I wasn't blocking any other people, but those guard there just kept chasing me away.

    At the last hour, we were told that the car, Innova was not avail instead we were being offered with Avanza (paid for Innova). Fuel was not full. Told us they will deliver the Innova on the following day which we had to follow up. Innova was sent to our hotel but the car was definitely not to the expectation. Very poorly maintained. Fuel was empty and we had to fill up ourselves just like the Avanza. The car key and remote was simply unbelievable (pls refer photo)

    Upon arrival we waited almost 40mnt to get our car as due to jam during that time (LIMA). The 1st car we got we were not very happy as the staff inform us to keep an eye on the car temperature. As I'm travelling with elderly and kids I was worried if the car stop mid way and so informed the staff to get me a replacement. Within 1 hour, the staff managed to get a replacement car and it was brand new and super clean. Bravo to the staff for working on my request so fast and really appreciate it.

    Very rude and unprofessional staff. One of the staff members was almost threatening and I was about to call the police. Vehicle in shabby condition damaged and dented exterior and shabby interior. AC hardly working despite engine running for 35 min. I was blackmailed into accepting an ‘upgrade’ to a vehicle of exactly the same spec but newer and with a working AC but was charged extra in cash. Second driver not added as per booking.

    Amazing and easy to use rental car company, would definitely recommend. Car pick up was a smooth process at Langkawi Airport. Upon arrival and picking up our luggages, we headed straight to the EPTA booth. Lady took a photo of us and told us to head out to the arrival hall (Gate/Pintu 2) and wait. Rental car guy came about 5 minutes later after scheduled pickup time with the car. Car (Perodua Axia) was overall in a good condition. Fuel tank was half filled, so when returning the car, tank has to be half filled at a minimum. After signing a few papers and noting down any scratches/dents, a MYR100 refundable deposit was requested. I only presented my Australian Driver's License and that was acceptable - also there was no upsell of insurance, and I didn't get the insurance through EPTA either. The Perodua Axia was a cheerful little car that took us around the island without skipping a beat. The car however can be underpowered at times, but dropping down to 2nd or 3rd gear will get you going up hill/overtaking quite comfortably. Interior cleanliness of the car could be slightly better however. When returning the car, simply drive it back to the airport and give the guy's number (on the receipt) a ring. Ours came to pick up the car in less than 5 minutes and after a swift inspection for any damage, the deposit was promptly returned. Overall a smooth and seamless experience, and for the price we paid for 4 days of rental, it's amazingly value for money.

    In my booking confirmation i understand i will get a full tank of petrol and that i was supposed to return with full tank too. However, i was only given 2 bars/level of petrol. The staff said this is their normal practice ie. to give only 2 bars/level of petrol. If this is so, then would suggest that you provide a proper confirmation during our booking.

    The car is average condition. The reverse sensor is broken so we have to be aware and drive carefully. Quite an old car but functions well with good spacious boot can fit our small size cabin luggage's and 4 adults. During pickup the provider is a bit late and we couldn't find exactly the meeting point due to many rental cars company also waiting. However easy to deal with the staff. Don't forget to pay parking during working hours to avoid summons ticket.

    The rented car was extremely dirty, had scratches everywhere, and had no fuel. The fuel light was constantly blinking, making me very worried that I wouldn't reach a gas station in time. Given the dirty condition of the car, my concerns, and my unfamiliarity with the local area, I accidentally broke the rearview mirror glass of a motorcycle just after leaving the airport. I immediately informed the car rental company, and they responded that I would need to pay either 600 or 1000 RMB. I expressed my preference to repair it myself since the replacement cost for a similar car in China is only around 300 RMB (200 MYR), but they insisted that they had to handle it. After multiple conversations, they agreed that I only needed to return the car in good condition. I spent a day going to a repair shop, which cost me 350 MYR. When returning the car, it still had a third of a tank of fuel. It would be helpful if the rental cars were fully fueled at the start, as finding a gas station in an unfamiliar place is not an easy task for a lone traveler!

    48 hours before departure, the car rental staff contacted us via text message and added us on WeChat. They informed us that staff would be waiting for us upon arrival, which was considerate. We arrived early and went to the car rental counter in the arrivals hall at Langkawi Airport. We were told that the counter was for on-the-spot rentals. Since we had pre-booked, we were directed to find staff next to Maybank. Being early, we informed the rental company via WeChat to send someone to pick us up. A few minutes later, staff arrived to escort us. Our car was 50 meters to the right after exiting the airport. We handed over our pickup form, driving license, and passport, and they filled out our contract. After inspecting the car (which we had already checked ourselves), we signed the contract and paid a 200 CNY deposit. For the return, we notified the rental company via WeChat, refueled the car to the same level, and returned it to the pickup location at the airport. After inspection with no issues, our 200 CNY deposit was returned. However, we had a minor accident involving a third party in the final hours. We contacted the company, and they advised against reporting to the police, claiming that our order did not include third-party liability insurance (which we recorded and confirmed with the car rental platform's colleague). The company charged us 3000 MYR for vehicle damage (the deductible) and paid the third party in cash. We were dissatisfied with how they handled the accident, feeling it was irresponsible. The store is not at the airport, and the car inspection took place in the middle of the road, which was very unsafe and inconvenient. However, the staff were honest.     Very convenient, picking up and returning the car is right at the terminal entrance. The car model is great. I participated in the Ironman competition, and my bicycle could be easily placed in the trunk while my family could sit comfortably in the back. When picking up the car, I found a nail in the front tire. The staff responsibly took it to get the tire fixed before handing it over.

    The flight arrived early but the rental company wasn't there to pick us up. We waited for over 10 minutes before they showed up. They promised us a particular car, but then gave us a very old one with scratches all over, a broken rearview mirror, and a malfunctioning gas pedal. The only positive thing was that they didn't inspect the car much when we returned it and gave us the deposit back quickly.

    1. Had to wait over half an hour for the staff. 2. The pickup point wasn't at the airport as mentioned, but in a remote location that required a shuttle. 3. The car provided was not the Toyota Vios I reserved, but a downgraded Perodua Axia. 4. The car wasn't full of fuel, it was only at the last segment. 5. After taking photos and returning the car, I refueled it fully. Although they didn't mention keeping the fuel receipt, comparisons of the dashboard photos before and after returning the car show I refueled it, but the company refused to provide the photos. 6. Upon returning the car, a staff member was very rude and used abusive language, even attempting to intimidate me with threats of violence.

    The so-called sign for airport pickup must be a dream. They charged me over 100 RMB for using one extra bar of fuel. It's a scam targeting those who didn't read the rental agreement properly.
