We waited over one hr for our vehicle. They didn’t have a vehicle we hired and fortunately someone dropped off a station wagon early so we were given the vehicle. Hertz also advised us not to fill up the fuel tank due to the waiting period. Thank you Hertz

We reserved an SUV but they did not have any. So they gave us a car which was unsuitable for the roads in Corfu. It was too wide, too low, and did not have good grip on the very difficult roads there.
Exact car model as booked. Super friendly and relaxed staff. I just needed my passport, driving license and credit card and got the keys.
Drop off was very easy. Returned full, quick check of the vehicle and the deposit was released. Very positive experience.
No upsell at the counter they just made me aware that I had basic insurance but didnt try to sell any extras.

There was an error in the rental system's location selection. I chose the Glyfada area, but the system assigned the order to Athens Old Town. Later, the correct pickup location in Glyfada was fixed through customer service and email.
Overall, I am very satisfied. The car was in good condition, the service was excellent, and they answered all my questions without trying to upsell anything.
We had booked an SUV but given a smaller car. Tried to swap it for what we had booked but were told we would have to pay an upgrade fee?!
The car we were given was not the same class as the car we booked.

When returning the car, I was informed that the actual return location was different from the one chosen during booking. Athens city was very congested, and there were many one-way streets. After much hassle, I reached the return location, only to find the fuel gauge was down by 1/8, and was asked to pay for refueling. I have complained to the rental company, but the issue remains unresolved.
Terrible experience... It's been over six months since my trip ended, and I still haven't received my deposit back. I've sent countless emails and made phone calls, but the issue remains unresolved.
