The staff had a good attitude. During the rental period, the car got stuck on a gravel road due to GPS navigation issues, and I called for assistance. The staff were very patient and quickly dispatched help to resolve the problem.
I booked a Golf but received an Audi. The car was very new and had excellent handling. The store is located inside the airport, just a few hundred meters away, very convenient.
This is the first time I've encountered being denied an early pickup. The elderly man at the front desk had a sulky face as if I were trying to cheat them. I've rented cars in many countries, and almost all companies allow a 4-hour early pickup. They are afraid that customers might take advantage of them. This company charges your deposit with a high exchange rate and returns it a few days later at a lower rate, causing you to lose some money due to the difference in rates. They are always finding ways to make money off you. This is the first time I've come across such practices after renting so many cars! Other companies would cancel the authorization, so the deposit would be refunded directly. Think you're done? Santorini is a scam. You add 10 euros of fuel, and you actually get 5 liters of air because it finishes filling in 2 seconds. The starting amount is 7 euros, and after driving only 90 kilometers, the fuel gauge doesn't move even after adding 20 euros of fuel. Locals seem to accept this way of scamming tourists! Avoid Santorini, it will make you miserable!
The actual car we got had only a 1.2cc engine, which struggled with acceleration and uphill driving on the highway. We didn't dare to turn on the air conditioning.
I would make sure that people are aware that they charge an extra fee for dropping the vehicle off early even if it’s unavoidable due to the airline changing your flight. We were charged an extra 25 euros which was very frustrating.
Overall service was pretty good, but the contract did not state that the fuel level at return must match the level at pickup. When we got the car, it only had two bars of fuel, not a full tank. This made it hard to gauge how much fuel to add when returning the car. We ended up having to pay an extra 15 Euros because the tank was slightly underfilled. Other companies operate on a full-to-full policy. I can't help but feel there's a bit of trickery involved.
The 9-seater MVP is generally fuel-efficient, but the overall configuration is quite basic and lacks comfort, especially since the passenger seat cannot be adjusted.
