No need to queue, probably the least crowded rental company. The staff will try to push you to add insurance or buy fuel, which is expected. We booked a 7-seater car, but upon arrival, they told us there were no 7-seaters available and downgraded us to a 5-seater without any discounts. Later, we did see 7-seaters in the parking lot.
Very nice car. Hybrid was a great help with petrol consumption. It was a bit of a squeeze with all of our bags from airport, but good space for the rest of our trip with lesser baggage.
About QEEQ:10.0/10
Booking was easy, and communication was excellent.
It was a major concern that when picking up the car the rental contract had been changed to have $5200 excess, when the terms and conditions from EasyRentCars was $4500. As I was using TripCover for the excess insurecane, this left a gap that I was not really happy about.

The "check engine" warning came on on the second day and stayed on. I informed Alamo of this. As it happened the car ran fine, but it was a bit concerning to have the warning on.
The staff were arrogant when I picked up the car. Despite having no customers, three employees made me wait a long time, saying they needed to finish previous orders first. I rented a seven-seater MPV, but they initially tried to give me a five-seater MG at half the rental cost, falsely claiming there were no seven-seaters available. Only after I argued did they reluctantly give me another customer's seven-seater. Their behavior was disgraceful. They were extremely polite to European customers. It took me an hour to get the car, while a European customer who arrived later got his car in 10 minutes.
The drop-off process was convenient.
After having already paid for the excess reduction online they tried to also sell their service for this. They also tried the hard sell on their own petrol with scare tactics on how much I would use and how expensive it was out of the airport.
Just really annoying.
Upon arrival I was informed the excess had changed from ~$4200 AUD to ~$5200 AUD. What?! This is ridiculous and incredibly sneaky. I was told it was in the terms and conditions - so who has time to sit and read the fine print? Hardly anyone would do this. The excess is worth more than the car.
In addition to credit and debit cards, you can now pay for online car rentals with cryptocurrency! Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are accepted. Curious about how long a Bitcoin transaction takes or how to pay with Bitcoin? Read our FAQs for more details.
