Very poor experience. Firstly, I booked an Alfa but was forced to choose between a nine-seater manual and automatic. Because the car was too big, I opted for the automatic and had to pay an extra 20 euros. Secondly, I purchased full insurance, but the customer service told me to report to the police for a claim. The police did not accept it and did not provide any incident number. As a result, for a small scratch, the rental company charged me 200 euros.

This place is a scam. Let me warn you. 1. Even if you buy your own insurance, they force you to purchase their expensive insurance (200-300 euros); 2. They confiscate your passport and credit card; 3. The staff is very rude; 4. The car provided was not the one I reserved and was dirty (see picture), it was old and filthy with bird droppings all over the trunk, and the staff couldn't care less; 5. They trap you when returning the car, asking me to pay for small dents and scratches from previous users; 6. They especially target foreigners, if you don't speak Italian, they will scam you in various ways; 7. I have lost a lot of money to this scam, and I saw other foreigners facing the same issues, arguing was useless.

It was quite good, no queues upon arrival. The process started immediately. I read in other reviews that there could be up to a 3-hour wait, but there wasn’t any. The prices were very cheap, and although they did try to sell insurance, you just need to tell them you don’t need it. The staff were also nice; they understood we didn’t need the insurance and didn’t push further. I didn’t see any signs of racial discrimination as some reviews mentioned. Everyone finds their own car, and it seems like they don’t have many staff in the first place. The cars given out were all SUVs; the person before me, who was white, got the same. The deposit was 1200 euros, which was just a hold and not an actual charge; as long as the car was returned in good condition, the deposit was refunded directly. I was quite worried after reading the reviews, but everything went very smoothly, and the vehicle was also good.

It was pretty good, no queues upon arrival. The process started right away. I had seen comments about a 3-hour wait, but that was not the case. The prices were very affordable. I didn't notice any racial discrimination as some comments suggested. Everybody finds their own car, and it seemed like they didn't have a lot of staff. Everyone got SUVs, including the white person in front of me. The deposit was 1,200 euros, but it was just a deposit, without charges. The car return inspection was smooth, and we got our deposit back without issue. I was a bit worried after reading the comments, but everything went smoothly, and the car was in good condition.

This has been my worst car rental experience abroad in the last ten years! 1. Difficult to find the store. The actual brand and logo of the store were completely different from what was shown on the rental platform! It took me half an hour just to find the place! 2. The staff were extremely inefficient! A local Italian ahead of me said they had been waiting for an hour and a half without being served, despite there being only three staff members serving just two clients. The staff were joking around instead of working. While I understand that Italians can be laid-back, I’ve visited Italy four times and never seen such behavior at a customer-facing position! I also had to wait about an hour and a half to get my car! 3. The staff were rude, their English was poor, and they talked roughly. Since I didn't buy their insurance, they deliberately gave me a large car. I booked an Audi A1 class vehicle but received an Opel Grandland SUV instead. Other white customers received small cars. It felt like deliberate harassment or racism. The roads in Sicily are narrow, and driving a large car is difficult. They did this because I refused their insurance. 4. The staff accompanied other white customers to pick up their cars and informed them of existing damages. When it was my turn, they just handed me the keys and told me where the parking lot was. Other customers after me were also accompanied by the staff, but they skipped me! 5. The most disgusting part! Because I didn’t buy their insurance, they charged me a deposit of 1200 euros. I picked up the car on April 11 and returned it on April 17. On April 13, I found out that the transaction had been processed, not just pre-authorized! I immediately contacted the rental platform's customer service, who contacted the car rental company, and they said the deposit would be refunded upon return. When I contacted customer service again on April 16, the car rental company claimed the deposit had been refunded on April 16, which is impossible since I hadn't returned the car yet! The staff were lying and acting like a bunch of scammers! When I returned the car on April 17, the staff said there were no problems with the car and that the deposit would be refunded in 2-3 days. It’s now April 28, and I haven't seen any trace of the deposit! I contacted customer service multiple times; now the car rental company insists it was a pre-authorization, not a charge. They don't acknowledge the screenshot and bank statement I provided showing the amount was deducted. This is completely false. If it were a pre-authorization, they would need to cancel it, but they can't because the amount has been charged. This has been going on for half a month! Is this rogue car rental company trying to swindle my 1200 euros???!!! I reserve the right to expose this in the media, report to 12345, and file a police report!

The price of hire was expensive compared to renting in other places. Maybe the Sicilians are too greedy. Pick-up was a farce: it took two and a half hours! Never before have I had such a disagreeable experience. Too many people, too few staff, and on that basis alone I would be reluctant to use Sicily By Car again. This must be better in the future.

I marked the drop off location as 3/5 as when entering the airport it’s quite tricky to find the location, even the second time I dropped off the car (I rented with them once before). whereas to Find the pickup from arrivals and to exit from the location is quite easy. Diagram of the damages of the car was not updated and the level of the fuel was not OK. During the drop-off they found new damage on the front bumper but when we show them pictures from pick up they gave up and no further action was taken.

Italian roads are very narrow, so we booked a small car. However, when we went to pick up the car at the scheduled time, the rental company didn't have the model we reserved and we ended up with a larger car. Although it was more comfortable to ride in, it was harder to drive and fuel costs were higher. The front desk staff was quite helpful despite limited English skills and even tried to sell us insurance, which we declined after clarifying the details. Be mindful when picking up your car.

Before our trip, we carefully inquired with the customer service on the Zuzuche website. The customer service clearly indicated that Avis would accept Chinese driving licenses with translations and notarized copies. However, when we arrived exhausted at Catania Airport, Avis refused to rent to us and directed us to a small company next door called Green Motion. The staff at this small company barely spoke English, but fortunately, I spoke Italian well enough to communicate with them. After a three-hour wait and some hassle, we finally got the car. The only available automatic car was a Mercedes Benz. Since we were traveling with a child who was already tired and hungry, we had no choice but to negotiate. We ended up paying 600 euros for 8 days of rental and an 800-euro pre-authorization as a deposit, with no full insurance. Any issues would be deducted from the deposit. This forced us to drive extremely carefully. We originally planned to rent a small car with full insurance for 485 euros, but instead, it turned into an expensive, uninsured Mercedes. The experience was very frustrating.

Maggiore at Catania tried to sell me insurance and refused they then tried to del me fuel option and I again refused. Despite this they charged me for the fuel option. The vehicle had pre-existing damage. They did not note damage to the front right rim being a scratch. When I returned the car the agent wiped only the front right rim and said I scratched it. I felt scammed and it has been a nightmare dealing with this

We received a smaller car Peugeot 208. We had problems with lights and we had to change one and no rembourse for it. They wanted us to buy a second inssurance for the car we already paid to Easyrentcars throw AXa insurrance- we didn't... Many scraches on the car. The deposit is too high, three times that of other chain companies for the same model. As a car rental company at a tourist city airport, they surprisingly don't support self-service returns. Absolutely avoid this Italian company, Budget. They are a rip-off. They push expensive insurance when picking up the car, and if you refuse, they give you an attitude. There's no staff present when you pick up the car. Even though we took photos of numerous scratches when we picked up the car, they were extremely strict during the return inspection and blamed all old scratches on us. They didn't acknowledge the photos we showed them. The damage estimate was shockingly high. Be very careful with this company.

The car model was downgraded without a refund for the price difference. They even said that at my price, it's impossible to rent a BMW (implying that even if they have BMWs, they wouldn't give it to me), and forcibly downgraded me to a Fiat. They pushed insurance hard, claiming the insurance bought on the platform wasn't full coverage (even though I chose the most expensive option on the platform). Their attitude was okay at first, but it changed immediately when I said I wouldn't buy insurance on-site. In the end, I was forced to buy insurance under threats (even though I called the platform's customer service in China for help, they couldn't do much). It felt like the pre-sale, during-sale, and post-sale attitudes were completely different. The experience was terrible, and I won't use Zuzuche again.

It's surprising that such a big company doesn't have a POS machine. Manual entry had to be used for payment, and since I used a HSBC card, the bank saw it as a risky transaction and froze the merchant's account. I couldn't rent the car as a result.

This company is a complete scam. The service attitude was terrible. The staff didn't speak much English and kept speaking Italian. They charged me nearly 300 euros, and then another 70+ euros for postage. After paying, I asked what the charges were for, but they couldn't explain clearly. I thought it was a deposit for the car, refundable if there were no issues when returning the car. When I called the rental company, they told me it was for insurance. The staff at GOLDCAR never mentioned the word insurance in English. The contract I signed did not state insurance anywhere, and there was no paperwork from an insurance company, only the GOLDCAR contract. I repeatedly told them to follow the booking I made on the Chinese website (I had already purchased insurance and paid the rental fee in China). This is outright fraud.

Quite affordable, and the requirements for a driver's license are low. Early in the morning, they called me to tell me my car was blocking someone's door and asked me to move it. That's really thoughtful! There are fewer cars available, so book in advance.
