The service from the well-known rental company was excellent, with easy pick-up and drop-off procedures. Our order was upgraded to an SUV, which was a brand-new car with only 11 miles when we picked it up. We were the first customers to drive it. We rented the car for 7 days and drove nearly 2,000 kilometers, picking it up in London, heading to Scotland, and then returning it in Edinburgh. Overall, it was a smooth experience.
I only found out about the unpaid highway toll after returning home. There are no toll booths, just a C mark, and the rental company charged a £42 administration fee. It's such a rip-off.
Satisfied. It was a wonderful experience. We rented a child seat, which seemed unnecessary! The car broke down in the middle, as the battery was dead. The repair service arrived quickly. Thumbs up!
They did not notify me of the violation in time. After one day, they directly deducted the service fee and the fine without permission. This is very upsetting.
“Good until the bad expierience over the windscreen damage.”
About Hertz:7.0/10
At the end of the hire, I was stunned to find out the collision damage waiver did not cover damage to the windscreen from a stone thrown up by another vehicle. Also an an exorbitant charge for the repair. At least 4 times the real cost of replacement of the windscreen!
Initially, they said the reserved model was unavailable and tried to upsell us on an upgrade. After we firmly declined, they provided the original model. Be cautious of this.
Never choose this company. Originally booked a car for £1005, but they claimed there were no cars available and switched to a model that cost £1083. Upon returning the car, they unjustly charged an additional £517. They also charged £224 for a small scratch that was already there (I had noted it but didn't take a photo). I've never encountered such a company in all my years renting cars abroad... It's like robbery.
Overall service was good. The car was in excellent condition. The queuing time was a bit long; while other companies' cars arrived to pick up customers, we waited 20 minutes for their car.

View more >It was average, the service fee for handling violations is too high.
They added extra insurance charges and I don't understand why they precharged nearly £200 for fuel.
