They gave me a smaller car than what it was reserved. They said the car I was getting was bigger than what I reserved. I reserved a Jeep Cherokee or similar and was given a Jeep Compass. My trip was so uncomfortable because of this
Returning the car and everything else was fine. The agent at the counter seemed very nice, but they added a lot of extras without being clear about it. My original order only included basic coverage and additional third-party insurance, nothing else. At the counter, the agent added options like no need to return with a full tank and roadside assistance. For example, with roadside assistance, they just said, 'You don't need to worry, if you have any issues, just call us,' without mentioning the extra cost of the insurance. I didn't notice at first and only discovered there was an extra $300 charge when I was about to pick up the car. I immediately went back and requested all the extras be canceled, insisting on just the prepaid items on my original order. Most front desk agents are like this, including at Hertz. Stay vigilant, or you’ll definitely get scammed.
It was strange; after swiping my credit card, they asked in Chinese for 200 dollars cash. My daughter communicated over the phone and they didn't charge it in the end. I have some doubts...
The shuttle service is excellent, available 24/7 with very short intervals between shuttles. It stops at three locations at Seattle Airport: the main hall, departure lounge, and the rental car building. We arrived late at night and the bus driver was very helpful, reminding us that if the main hall was empty, we could go to the parking lot where there is a duty room. We had pre-booked a Nissan from Thrifty, but when we provided our reservation number, the agent initially told us the car was unavailable and offered a similar model. She then took us to the compact car lot, which only had three cars, each seating just two people. After repeatedly checking our reservation, we finally saw the Nissan in the garage. We showed her our booking again, and she eventually registered that car for us. Then she aggressively tried to sell us insurance. Thanks to prior advice from friends, we declined, but she insisted that driving without this insurance was illegal in Washington state (showing us related news). We explained that QEEQ had already purchased three types of insurance for us, including basic coverage. After verifying, she claimed we only had collision insurance and needed to buy 'protect me' coverage. After much back and forth, we purchased the insurance, which cost nearly half of the rental fee. Upon returning home, we contacted customer service, who initially were uncertain of the situation. After checking, they clarified that we had been sold enhanced liability insurance and that QEEQ's so-called basic insurance was just a minimal coverage required for vehicle registration without a policy number. We felt deceived and quite unhappy.
no price drops. however, car booking was smooth and price was good
