I called to ask about the pickup location, but they completely ignored what I was saying and just kept telling me how to return the car. When I got to the counter, the male clerk aggressively pushed for insurance. He said if I didn't buy it, even a tiny scratch would cost me $6000. Who are they trying to scare!
The car was fine. The issue was the delay at pick up. I do not understand why the car was not ready for pick up when we arrived. Or why the customer service person did not call for the car when we first arrived. Why did she call after the paperwork was all done and then we had to stand around waiting. Sadly this meant we were late for the function we were attending
The original order was over 300 AUD, but at the pickup location it became over 500 AUD. The deposit refund is very slow. It's been a month and I still haven't received it.
When I booked, it stated pickup at the airport. However, at the Hertz counter they told me it was outside the airport. I waited for the shuttle bus for over half an hour, then at the off-site location, there was only one person attending and I queued for another 30 minutes.
Long queue at Hertz counter at Sydney airport. There were only two staff. One family held up the line because they didn’t pre book a car. I suggest 3 lines where two would serve customers who have already reserved their cars and just need to pick up.
I waited for the shuttle bus for 50 minutes, but it never came. I returned to the rental point and QEEQ said that Hutz would provide the car, but Hutz said they couldn't find my booking and asked me to book another one for 1000 AUD (my original booking was 220 AUD). I called QEEQ customer service, who asked me to wait again. After half an hour without a response, I called QEEQ again, and they said they couldn't reach the Firefly company (if you can't reach them, why list them?). Then QEEQ's overseas customer service asked me to place a new order, so I did and finally got a car. From the time I landed at 2:30 PM to finally getting a car at 5:20 PM, the experience was terrible. Most of the blame lies with Firefly, but doesn't QEEQ have any responsibility? Anyway, I still haven't received an explanation. I suggest that in the future, you rent a car directly upon landing instead of using QEEQ.
