On-site we were persuaded into a $400 insurance. Experienced drivers don't really need it since traffic in Australia isn't that congested, and people generally follow the rules. Even on rural gravel roads, it's not as chaotic as you might think.
Prompt and friendly customer service from counter staff, clean and new vehicle provided
About QEEQ:10.0/10
Initially I felt apprehensive to book with third party platform, however I have positive experience with QEEQ. The platform is straight forward and easy to use and telephone inquiry also met with friendly and competent customer service staffs. I am happy to give 5 stars review to QEEQ
I did purchase reduce access insurance with QEEQ and glad that I do not need to make claim, be good to see review from anyone who might have insurance issue either positive or negative
Extremely satisfied, overall rating 9.5. Firstly, the car was automatically upgraded to a KIA, the car was very new with less than 8000 KM on it. The trunk was very spacious and could fit three 24-inch large suitcases. The car came with adaptive lane keeping assist, which was fantastic. It was my first time driving a right-hand drive vehicle, and I was initially very worried that I wouldn't manage. However, with the assistive driving feature, I got used to it in about 20 minutes. On the first day, fearing I might struggle with the right-hand drive, I chose to drive to the suburbs for half a day and covered 260 kilometers. The acclimatization process was very smooth throughout.
There might have been a mistake in recording the mileage when returning the car. They insisted that I drove over 400 kilometers and deducted more than 100 dollars from me. In reality, I only drove within the city and it definitely wasn't over 100 kilometers. After several communications with the rental company’s customer service, this amount was refunded.
The car rental process was smooth, but most of the staff at the rental company were Indian, and their English was hard to understand. They didn't clearly explain we needed to buy insurance. Even three days after returning the car and leaving the country, they charged us an additional $70. The rental company's staff helped us contact them to find out it was an insurance fee. It's strange why they didn't charge the full amount upfront, but only after returning the car and a few days later.
I arrived a day late, and they didn't have the car I had reserved, even though I paid for that day. They shouldn't have given away my car. They told me the car I wanted wasn't available and I had to switch to another one, which required an additional 1400 AUD, about 6700 CNY. The new car had much lower cargo capacity, making it very difficult to fit my luggage. Additionally, there was a very long queue at the store. The overall experience was terrible!
Very poor service, really cannot use this company. Despite tolerating various bizarre issues, the final bill is inexplicable. They randomly adjusted the pick-up and drop-off times to charge an extra day, and included many unknown additional fees, overcharging nearly 240 Euros.
