The car was a damaged tiny Peugeot, as the fiat had “ a windscreen problem” took 2 hours to get to the advisor at the desk as they didn’t organise the line. Not the best experience with them.
There were four of us who rented a Peugeot 5008 for 14 days. We picked it up at Rome Airport and returned it at Milan. Since we arrived in Rome at 11 PM, the staff completed the process and handed us the keys, directing us to the parking lot to get the car ourselves. It was quite late, so we did a quick inspection and only noticed some scratches near the door, which we photographed before driving off. Everything went smoothly on the road, but when we returned the car in Milan, the staff said the front headlight cover was missing. We honestly couldn't remember if it was there when we picked up the car in Rome. There were definitely no collisions on the way, so the only possibility was that it was stolen during a night parking, but who would steal a headlight cover? The staff said they'd check with Rome, but we had to catch a flight, so we left.
When we were about to board the plane, we noticed a charge on our credit card for 255 euros, which included 150 euros for the headlight cover, administrative fees, a one-way rental fee, and some other unclear charges. This is really unreasonable! No one accompanied us to inspect the car at pickup, so how can they just assume it was our fault? Apart from the one-way rental fee, we were not informed of any other charges, which feels like a rip-off. Originally, we spent over 5,000 RMB to rent the car, which we thought was reasonable, but now with the extra 2,000 RMB, it feels really bad. My husband emailed their customer service, but got no response, so we had to accept it.
I hope future renters pay attention and be clear about every detail to avoid such unfair treatment.
Scammed, requested a car change with no extra cost. In the end, they charged us an additional 221 euros and told us it was refundable at customs, but it wasn't a tax refund form at all.

After over an hour wait to get to the desk, we found out they didn’t have the car we had paid for or an equivalent. The fiat 500 wasn’t quite the Mercedes we were expecting. Worst car hire experience ever.

The vehicle had warning messages and was damaged on 3 corners!
We asked if there was a mapping system at the counter and were told no - so paid extra for a GPS system when there was a GPS in the car!
At drop off there was no one at the counter and we had to call and wait for someone to come - he was then very cranky.
All in all a terrible experience.
The gearbox couldn't shift under normal driving conditions, and the company took too long to address the issue. They also refused to replace the vehicle with the same model.

I felt this Tiburtina location was a little more shady than the other one in Roma Termini. The employee told me he was going to give me a White Fiat 500, but then he gave a Blue Fiat Panda (which is a bigger car with less category) so he can charge me extra.
Not a good experience: First, the location only has two staff members, and their efficiency is average. We arrived before 9 AM and were the first in line, but a long queue formed afterwards. Secondly, the car we received was not the Mini Cooper we reserved but a very ugly and odd Fiat Kugo. It was embarrassing to drive and hard to park. There were Mini Coopers in the garage, but no upgrade was offered. Thirdly, the garage is over 500 meters from the location, requiring us to drag our luggage, cross streets, and traffic lights for a 10-minute walk. The person managing the garage is part-time, so communication with the location was difficult. It caused me to make two trips back and forth, wasting 2 hours.

We reserved a Audi A3 but got a Mini Cooper( same class according to the car rental angency but we prefer an Audi A3, no big deal though), the car was absolutely disgusting and we're too busy learning everything about the car before drive away from their Rome airport garage that we forgot to check the fuel level, a few minute after we checked out from the garage we saw that the fuel was only half but the paper stated it was full so we had to return to the garage and ask the staff, he wrote sth casually on the paper and walked away with zero interest in listening to our complain about the dirty car. When we returned the car in Ancona the guy there told us that's what happens at their Rome airport branch quite often, guess they're either understaffed or just have no desire keeping their customer! Btw on my confirmation with EasyRentCars it states clearly that the price quote includes one-way-return but when we picked up the car Maggiore still added a charge we can't remember why but we never buy any add-ons when rent cars, one driver/deny all insurance coz our credit card covers it/same fuel level/no gps needed....we needed nothing extra, now Amex is investigating the extra charge for us.
