The service desk is not inside the airport. I had to borrow a local's phone to contact the rental company for a pickup, which took about five to six minutes. The original car model wasn't available, so they offered a Passat. The fuel tank wasn't full, the car wasn't cleaned, and there were several long women's hairs inside. The car was covered in scratches. Additionally, my credit card didn't go through, so I couldn't rent the car. They returned me to the airport where I switched to Avis, and the same credit card worked without any issues. I will not use Alamo again.
I picked up the car in Antalya and dropped it off at Dalaman Airport. It was extremely difficult, the map navigation was incorrect. I had read others' comments saying the location was wrong and hard to find. Despite confirming multiple times with QEEQ customer service, they gave us the wrong address. They even claimed to have verified it with Alamo, but the location didn't exist. This was misleading and almost made me miss my flight. It's one thing to be incompetent, but lying is unacceptable.
Check-in was relatively smooth. They told us that we were late and the reserved car was no longer available. But we were late because the plane was delayed by half an hour, how is that our fault? Frustrated, we had to upgrade the car... Overall, it went smoothly. However, returning the car was awkward! The staff member barely spoke English and was very impatient. He hung up on me twice when I tried to call. Seriously? And for the car switch issue, we were fined. P.S. Enterprise employees were generally unfriendly and impatient with Chinese customers who aren't fluent in English. My wife and I studied abroad, so we had no issues, but four people in front of us from Northeast China were very nervous and cautious during check-in, needing to confirm details to avoid any issues in the contract. The staff was visibly impatient and even asked me to tell them to hurry up because there were many people waiting in line. He gave me the impression that he thought, 'Hey, they're also from China, why don't you help them?' I replied, 'If you want to talk, learn some Chinese, please.'
We explicitly requested not to add any extra insurance, but the rental company still added it. The list was in Turkish, so we couldn't find out in time.
