    Like: The price was cheap. We booked first a Toyota Corolla and were given Volkswagen Golf, which is totally fine with us since the car is very good. We didn't ask for it but the GPS was included with the car for free. We had to pay a little extra for an additional driver, as expected.

    The car exceeded my expectations. It was a nice car to drive around and there were no damages. It was like a brand new car. It allows us to connect our phone and display our GPS on the screen directly instead of looking through our phones which is a plus point. However, the lady staff at Europcar wasn’t that friendly when assisting us, for that there is some room of improvements.

    The store is within walking distance from Southern Cross Station. We were four people, and two of us took an Uber with four suitcases, costing 8 AUD, while the other two took the tram. The car rental company is very professional, and the staff explained everything patiently. We left a 100 AUD deposit, which will be refunded 7 working days after returning the car. However, we haven't received it yet. Returning the car at Avalon Airport is also convenient. Just park the car at the designated rental parking lot and drop the keys in the Dropbox at the car rental counter in the terminal. Local time at the airport and major streets and scenic spots can be seen locally.

    This negative review is for Europcar. Despite having cars available, they insisted on giving me a Kia or Nissan. I was headed to the mountains and they gave me a two-wheel drive car, claiming that I wouldn't need a four-wheel drive for the snow. That evening, it snowed and I had to put on snow chains in the freezing cold, something that wouldn't be necessary with a four-wheel drive. The Eastern European staff member with the big nose had an extremely poor attitude, acting like whatever he gave me was the only option. If any Chinese people go there in the future, they should really stand up to him. I rarely leave negative reviews, but if the service industry behaves like they're doing you a favor, who will use their service? Moreover, there were no tourists around, yet he was still making such excuses. Unbelievable.

    The service was excellent, warm, and attentive. For someone who doesn't speak English, they were very friendly, patient, and meticulous. The vehicle's performance was outstanding, with full features including cruise control and lane departure warning, which was very helpful for me, a newcomer to Australia driving on the left side of the road. It constantly reminded me if I drifted out of my lane. Most importantly, they didn't have any hidden charges. During this Great Ocean Road trip, the only extra costs were tolls, with no other charges for violations or parking fees, which made me very happy. I'll definitely choose this company again when I come back to Melbourne.
