You can arrive of Bargain Rental Cars - Auckland Airport car rental by free shuttle bus.

Auckland Airport Pick-Up Procedures (6:00 am to 8:00 pm) Simply call us when you are ready for pick up on 0800 00 11 10 (you can call us from a pay phone if needed. Ask the airport staff for the nearest pay phone) and proceed to the nearest collection area for pickup. Domestic arrivals – Our pickup location is beneath the Control Tower which is located close to the Jetstar exits by Door 7 (see map) International arrivals – Pick-ups are located at the “off-site shuttle transfers” area, a short, undercover walk from the terminal. Exit door 8 and follow the signs for Off-site Shuttle Transfers (see map) If there is no Hire Vehicle Transfer Shuttle vehicle waiting in the bay, please call the above phone number so we can be sure to arrange transport for you as soon as possible.

Drop-off Instructions

Auckland Airport Drop-Off Procedures (6:00 am to 8:00 pm) Drive your car to our Airport Oaks Branch situated at 12 Pavilion Drive, Mangere which is 3.6kms from both Domestic and International Terminals. One of our friendly staff will check your vehicle in and ensure all paperwork and documentation is up to date. We will then take you to your departure terminal by our Hire Vehicle Transfer Shuttle. Please allow an extra sixty (60) minutes before your required check-in/reporting time of your fight so we can be sure of getting you to the Terminal in good time. If your flight is at 6am or before, we strongly suggest you use our out of hours service to ensure you make your flight. See the net section. Please ensure the fuel tank of the vehicle is full. If the vehicle is not filled with fuel there will be an additional $50.00 refueling charge in addition to the actual fuel cost. This cost will be on-charged to your credit card at the time of return. The nearest gas station is Waitomo at 33 Richard Pearse Drive, Mangere This gas station is unattended and you will need a debit or credit card for payment For International card holders, visit the Mobil Massey Road at 747 Massey Road, Mangere Other additional charges may apply if the vehicle is returned in an unreasonable condition. These costs will be on-charged to your credit card at the time of return.

Lovely car and staff. Excellent run through North Island but car rental drop off was remote in Wellington. And there was no transport to get us back to City centre. BCR staff on duty was awesome He got us an Uber, because the Wellington taxi didn't turn up. Either he or the company paid for the Uber-VERY IMPRESSED with his tenacity and problem solving.

Car was ok. Not what we booked - It was bigger so it increased our fuel costs. Biggest problem came from the customer service when we had a problem we needed help with. We lost the keys. The car was keyless entry and push button start. BRC bascially told us to call a locksmith - any locksmith and sort it out ourselves they didnt have a preferred provider. but because of the keyless entry, locksmith could only open the car to get out lugage out . We asked BRC for a set of spare keys - they said they didnt have any and again we were on our own. Luckily there was a Suburu dealer in the town we were in and they said it needed to be towed to them and whole key system replaced. it took five days to fix, 4 days longer and $800 more because BRC didnt have a spare key for their car. they were really disinterested in helping and we were completely on our own. luckily we spoke the language and could navigate the system.

The pick up was confusing a) because Auckland Airport is a building site and it is difficult to find your way around and b) because staff member on phone forgot that as a visitor I had no idea what he was talking about - he assumed too much. But once I located pick up site and van arrived it all worked very smoothly. Car with very high mileage operated well and was value for money. I would highly recommend if dollars are important and you don’t mind a bit of wear and tear on the car!!

This rental company is very bad. 1. The pick-up service was over an hour late. 2. The car they provided was in poor condition and the charging port didn't work. 3. They charged us unfairly after returning the car, insisting the tank wasn't full even though we had just filled it up, costing us several extra NZD.

The minivan was terrible in condition. We booked the pickup time in such a way that it gave us enough time to leave the airport and go to the rental car place and that pickup time happened to be "after hours" of Bargain Rental Cars and it was a different pickup location. But it so happened that our flight reached Auckland ahead of time. When we called the pickup location for the after hours office, they said to call BRC directly since it was technically not "after hours". When we called BRC, they asked us to call the "after hours location" since we had to pick up the car there only. There was some confusion which was frustrating for us and finally BRC agreed to come and pick us up from the Airport.
