Waited for a while during renting process. The biggest issue was that there was no indication at reservation time that basic legally required insurance was not included in the rental rate. This was not being transparent on the part of both easyrentcars and Fox rent a car. Hence, I had to pay a lot more during rental for insurance which made this a much more expensive rental than I thought it would be. Very disappointing experience and non transparent rate display during search and reservation time. The cost of extending the reservation by a day was very exorbitant.

Wait time was more an hour to pick up the car i received, the staff tried to upsell everyone over and over again. Car I ordered was unavailable. Return area has no carts to help getting luggage to terminal. Staff is at Fox is generally disinterested. Will never rent from Fox again.

I made a reservation two weeks before and when went for pickup even they have the cars available they repeatedly saying those are not available and giving for others. They constantly saying to upgrade and trying to make me to pay more....I wish if they could have give available car based on their priority bookings and vehicle class then It will be good and they have given me dirty car and the condition was bad with some sensor lights on the screen

The car was exactly what we needed and reserved for us. The issues began when we had a flat tire and needed assistance. Roadside assistance and customer service through fox was horrendous. Luckily my husband was able to put on a spare and we drove to the nearest fox location to swap out the vehicle. They did proceed to charge us since we did not fill up gas on the way with a donut on the car. Classy service.

This was the worst experience I have ever had renting a car. First we wanted a Jeep Grand Cherokee. What we got was a Mitsubishi which is smaller than a Jeep Grand Cherokee. But it all started when we got to the counter and had to wait for over an hour to get service. Everyone in line was complaining. Then we finally get to the counter and they try to sell us everything they can think of when we had already declined it when we booked. When I complained about the size of car we had paid for they proceeded to tell us that they do not have Jeep Cherokee at the same time the screen behind the counter was advertising the Jeep Grand Cherokee. When I mentioned it, the girl became very nasty. When we got to the garage to pick up the car, there was a Jeep Grand Cherokee there. The minute we opened the doors to the car, it smelled like someone had been on a horse farm with it. After sitting in the sun almost every day, it smelled even worse. I mentioned it to the attendant and he just ignored me. Because of the service we got, I made sure to check the car before we left and the back was all scratched so I made the attendant note it on our paperwork so we would not get charged for the damage. I will NEVER rent from FOX in San Francisco again. Worst experience renting a car ever.

J'avais déjà acheté une assurance avec vous en plus de ma propre assurance. FOX RENT A CAR m'ont par contre dit que je devais acheter une autre assurance pour être légal en Californie (à ce moment, je ne sais pas encore si c'est vrai). Après un peu d'argumentation, j'ai perdu patience et j'ai demandé le prix à leur employé. Il m'a répondu 20$ pour la semaine. J'ai alors accepté puisque ce n'était pas cher. Finalement, ce n'était pas 20$, mais plus de 300$. Quand j'ai dû payer, j'ai demandé à leur employé pourquoi le montant total de la facture était si élevé. Il m'a répondu que c'était parce qu'il y avait un dépôt, ce qui n'était pas vrai, le dépôt était sur une autre transaction. Bref, je me suis fait voler 300$.

We had booked a SUV and when we go to the counter we were told they do not have it. We were given a mini van. The car was horrible and did not even have a charging spot. After persuading the staff we were asked to come the next day to get the SUV. It was a long drive for us with all the traffic. This spoilt our vacation.

Car was great, it was a hybrid and had great mileage. My only issue with the company is the horrible waiting time to collect your car. There were a total of 3 counters serving customers and somehow they managed to only clear 6 people in the hour that i was waiting in line. Absolutely inefficient and a lot of upselling of insurance at the counter. Just tell them you’re not interested and are in a rush so you need to be on your way.

All the service providers at the front desk were rude and unprofessional. Such as rolling their eyes, complaining about the customers, not being patient to those with language barriers, testy when you ask questions. When I called the company about a question I was on hold for 30 minutes and no one answered. Also because I rented the car for 26 hours they charged me for 2 FULL DAYS.

The picking up process was terrible. One staff member and at least 6 people was waiting in front of me for their car. The staff member propose many insurance saying that I'm not covered in CA. Not invent true. She told me that it was almost impossible to drive in the bay area in SF without a fast track device. I didn't go through any toll in my entire 2500miles in california. I remembered that fox serviced in SFO was bad, but not like this. The return in SAN was easy and I had a flat tire in SAN and the service was very good and helpful!

We reserved a mini van, but were told none were available. We would have to wait over an hour. When I reluctantly decided to wait (because we needed the space), I was offered the option to pay $96 for a Ford Explorer. When I declined, the person reluctantly provided me alternatives (e.g. could not up sale me). Could not explain why a car I reserved 2 months ago was not available. Found chicken bone in the back seat!

Never again. Staff was inept, slow and kept trying to hard sell fuel and insurance. They blatantly lied and said my AXA coverage was useless and did not include theft, just to make me pay for additional coverage. When that failed, they kept us waiting for 30 minutes cos “the printer didn’t work”. At the garage, no one helped us when we couldn’t find the fuel gauge and trunk buttons. Just awful overall.

The pick-up location is in a combined center with all other rental companies, fox's line is not as crazy as other big names so you are able to save time. The card they provided to us is very good in condition and they don't push hard to sell you insurance, overall recommended!

1) I waited in line for a long time before meeting counter staff. There were at least 8 people before me, and there was only 1 counter staff serving the customers.
2) the shuttle from car rental terminal to Fox car rental was too small, it can only take few passengers with luggage’s. As a result, half of my family was left behind for the next shuttle.
3) after my car return, I would rather the shuttle drop us off at SFO instead of to the car rental complex (so that we don’t have to wait for the blue line to bring us to SFO.)

Very dissatisfied, long waiting time in line. Insurance was added without the customer's knowledge. The reserved car model from over three months ago was not available, and no explanation was given. Promised to change the car the next day, but that didn't happen. After complaining, they reluctantly arranged the desired car model. But the promised discount was not given, and they claimed there was no written evidence. This company is shameless and I'll never choose them again.

The whole experience was amazing. The only issue was that they were closed for midnight till 5:00 a.m. and my flight was delayed and arrived at 1:00 a.m.
Other than that the service was great the car exceeded my expectations it was new and had fancy electronics in it.
The return was super easy took 2 minutes and I was out of there and the shuttle took me to the airport right away.
