Extremely poor experience. I had to rewrite my review twice because my call wasn't answered on time. I decided to share my experience to help others avoid this. I specifically chose this globally top-ranked rental company, which was more expensive, expecting better service. However, the local service was terrible. I selected an option for two drivers, but when I arrived, they said it wasn't allowed unless I paid extra. Despite the clear information on both the e-voucher and printed voucher, they insisted on calling the boss, which required me to call the rental platform numerous times. Since the rental point was in an underground parking lot with poor wifi signal, I had to make international calls that kept dropping. After several attempts, the rental platform advised me to let the local staff talk, but she refused as she was attending another customer. I had to wait for over ten minutes and make another international call. She still didn’t take the call but suddenly said two drivers were allowed. Ridiculous! The car they provided was much worse than what was stated in the contract, with scratches all over it. It felt like they gave me a damaged car because I had full insurance.
The car rental company provided no service, only handed the car to us. The overall experience was very poor. The staff lacked integrity; they gave me a fast pass card and asked for a 100 yuan deposit. When returning the car and card, they claimed they only received 50 yuan as a deposit. Since they didn't provide any receipts at the time and there was no surveillance, I had no way to argue.
“Easyrentcar is good but the local service provider Europcar has lots to be desired”
About Europcar:9.7/10
I changed my flight and need to contact Europcar in KLIA to change pick up time. Firstly, the phone numbers listed on Europcar website for the KLIA station is either outdated or outright wrong because when I call many times but no answer. Write to Europcar website with all the booking details Multiple times and I heard nothing back. When I posted my dilemma on Facebook, a friend who was going through KLIA was kind enough to inform Europcar ground staff of my change of pick up time, and she said change is notes and the car will be ready at the new pick up time. When I landed, the car was not ready, and they claim to have no record of the change - I ended up having to wait close to 2.5 hours before the car arrived and I ended up missing a number of appointments.

The platform is good and transparent but must make sure after sales service can support on location assistance like my current case
“Will book through Easyrentcars.com again but won't rent from Europcar anymore”
About Europcar:7.0/10
Booked for pick up at 12 midnight KLIA2. Staff passed me 2 pages of their list of bookings and asked me to find my own name. Couldn't find my booking on the 5Dec and 6Dec list. Staff then took my E-voucher and checked in the office. Came back 5 minutes later for my IC and license. Back again another 5 minutes later with documents in hand for registration. Hand gestures were not friendly. Kinda threw my IC and license back on the counter to me. Did not explain anything on the documents and just asked me to sign at the crossed areas. After done with deposit, staff guided us towards car park to retrieve vehicle. Car was full of scratches. Interior is dirty as well. Cup holder has biscuit crumbs and hair. There's a constant sound of metal rattling in the boot during drive. Whole process of picking up the car was done without a smile from the staff. Was determined to never rent from Europcar again.
However, the staff at KLIA1 during drop off was very kind. Triple checked if we've taken all our belongings from the car before leaving.

Booking process on Easyrentcars.com was a breeze. Easy navigation through the website and no hidden fees. Flexible cancellation process too (had a change of drop off timing).
It's pretty average, a normal transaction. There weren't many requirements while renting, and returning the car was hassle-free. It would be better if they had Chinese service.
Before renting, I repeatedly asked whether I could return the car at T1, but never got a direct answer. When returning the car, I realized I had left my phone behind and asked the staff for help, but they were uncooperative and had a cold attitude, which made me suspicious. I won't choose Europcar in Malaysia again.
