I received a Romanian made Dacia car even without parking sensor a model of 5 years a go , even if the car was new with low kilometers on the records It’s true it was saying ford siesta or similar but the Dacia even if new car was an old model All other was fine, maybe they guess I was the one to give a unwanted car , as I see other Ford Fiesta and in the similar range several cars It’s the second time I use Sicily by car the previous one was fine this time I am not really satisfied only for the car received, such car shall not new be there ! Staff at the desk were extremely helpful and kind, but two people can hardly deal with twenty customers in a reasonable time. And I understand it is always like this in the evening. Nous avons du attendre plus de 2 heures notre tour avec un personnel très désagréable Scicily by car voulait me faire payer 135 euros supplémentaires sous prétexte que ma carte était de débit et non de crédit. J ai donc laissé tomber cette réservation même si elle était payée et j ai fait une autre réservation avec Sixt quelle différence service impeccable un personnel très courtois et surtout il n y avait aucun problème avec ma carte de crédit. The car was nice, though it had some outer cosmetic damage from the previous rides. Didn't mind it, because everything was functional and the price was great. The rental process was easy, but you have to keep in mind that there are too many people renting the car at Milano Airport - I was 17th in line and with the 4 counters it took about an hour. The only big gripe I have - I forgot my wallet with driving license in the car and though I did call and wrote an email when I found it missing 10 hours later in another country I'm still waiting for the answer to my request! They said they are currently too busy to look for it and it's been 18 hours.

Carefully check in absolute details your vehicle conditions upon pickup, as at the return they will look for ANY paint scratch which was not documented. They did find very light scratches made by vegetation on the car which hard to spot and not noted on the original contract, luckily I had pictures of all the car body parts and could show them it was present. I suggest you heavily document the car condition using the same method, they have little leniency on ANY damage

This car rental experience was very unpleasant. This company is not only fraudulent but also extorts money! I had prepaid for full insurance through the rental platform and showed the printed proof to the driver. When renting the car, they mentioned a deposit and charged my friend's credit card 501.73 euros. Unfortunately, I wasn't present to see the so-called 'contract,' and my friend, who signed, didn't understand it at all. A nearby Italian speaker confirmed it was a 'deposit.' However, only 200 euros was a deposit; the remaining 301.73 was for additional insurance and handling fees. Upon returning the car, there was no settlement receipt provided, and when I asked, they only said the deposit would be refunded in two weeks. We returned to our country on November 8th, and in December and January, the credit card was charged two separate amounts of 61 euros. After contacting the rental platform, I was informed these were violation handling fees by Sicily By Car! Note that these were just administrative fees and didn't include the actual fines. After persistent inquiries, the platform managed to get details on the violations—time, location, and reasons. While we don't dispute the fines, the rental company charging 61 euros per ticket as a handling fee is outrageous! The platform mentioned this is a common practice among Italian rental companies due to high labor costs. I consulted a friend who was also fined by an Italian rental company, and he said Sixt clearly charges 22% of the fine amount as an administration fee! Sicily By Car, where did you get the 61 euros from? They claimed it was stated in the contract and have the right to keep charging without limits from the credit card because of the signed agreement. I want to emphasize that I have been mostly satisfied with the platform’s follow-up since I lodged a complaint on December 2nd, but without a regulatory system for vendors on the platform, how can rental customers feel safe? This makes renting through the platform no different than renting directly! You can't justify it by saying you earn little from each rental. One last thing: the girl who helped me with the follow-up was very responsible, but there are many issues she can't solve! This is a problem with the platform's mechanism!

It was pouring rain in Milan when I returned the car, and I couldn't see the road clearly. I didn't find a gas station near the airport, so I returned the car with two fuel bars empty, thinking they would just deduct it from the deposit. The car was in good condition otherwise, but why did they charge me €74.58?! Filling up the tank only costs around €50.
