They charged me 200 THB for using a specific road twice, and I couldn't understand them because they didn't speak Chinese. The person before me was also charged 200 THB.
The car had over a hundred thousand kilometers on it. The day after picking it up, the tire burst without us even driving it (from a previously patched area that exploded). The parking brake got stuck, making it undrivable. We reported the issue before 10 AM and contacted the rental company asking for a replacement because we had over 1000 kilometers left on our trip and didn't feel safe driving it. However, they only arranged for roadside assistance without providing a replacement car. The assistance arrived at 1:30 PM and replaced the tire with a spare, then manually fixed the stuck brake. I followed the mechanic to the service center for further repairs. Even after being informed of the car's safety issues by the roadside assistance, the rental company still hesitated to consider replacing the car. I contacted the rental company customer service again, but they reiterated that only repairs could be done, no replacement. The information was completely unsynchronized. I had to chase after the help center repeatedly. This location is really unreliable. I was worried this would delay my trip to Pattaya in the afternoon. They only mentioned repairs, not replacement, all under the scorching 36-degree heat. We didn’t get the replacement car until nearly 4 PM. The person who came to swap the car casually apologized for being late, which felt intentional because they clearly had available cars. We were three females, and one of my friends was so frustrated that she cried. After renting cars for so many years, Hertz really disappointed us this time.
The car had over 100,000 kilometers. On the second day after getting the car, the tire burst without even driving (the previously patched area exploded). The parking brake got stuck, making the vehicle unmovable. I reported the problem before 10 AM and contacted the rental company, asking for a replacement since I had over 1,000 kilometers ahead and didn't feel safe driving it. The rental company only offered roadside assistance, saying they had no replacement vehicles. It wasn't until 1:30 PM that someone came to replace the spare tire and manually fixed the stuck brake. I followed him to the repair center, where, after discussing the safety of the vehicle, they slowly started considering a replacement. When I contacted the rental company's customer service, they still insisted on repairing rather than replacing the car, with completely inconsistent information. I had to repeatedly ask the repair center myself. This rental location is really unreliable. I had to keep pushing them throughout the process, fearing that repairs wouldn't be done in time for my afternoon trip to Pattaya. They only offered repairs and refused to provide a replacement. It took until nearly 4 PM in the 36-degree heat before I received a new car. The person who replaced the car laughed and apologized for being late – it felt intentional. Clearly, they had cars available. We were three women, and one of my friends was moved to tears out of frustration. After renting cars for so many years, Hertz is definitely one to avoid!
The car had over 100,000 kilometers on it. The day after I got the car, the tire burst (the previously repaired area ruptured), the parking brake was stuck and couldn't be released. I reported the issue before 10 AM and contacted the rental company, asking for a replacement because I had over 1,000 kilometers left on my trip and didn't feel safe driving it. The rental company only offered roadside assistance and said there were no replacement vehicles available. It wasn't until 1:30 PM that the assistance personnel arrived to put on a spare tire and manually fix the stuck brake. After following him to the repair center and discussing the car's safety, the store finally considered replacing the car. When I contacted the rental company customer service again, they still said they couldn't replace the car, only repair it, showing a complete lack of communication and consistency. I had to repeatedly ask the assistance center myself. Avoid this store at all costs! I kept urging them, fearing the repairs would delay my trip to Pattaya in the afternoon. They insisted on repairing instead of replacing the car, and in the 36-degree heat, I had to deal with this mess. It wasn't until nearly 4 PM that I got the replacement car. The person who brought the new car arrived with a smile and apologized for being late. Clearly, they had a car all along. We were three women, and one of my friends was in tears from frustration. I've rented cars for many years, and Hertz is definitely one to avoid!
The car had nearly 100,000 kilometers on it, was old and worn out, had poor sound insulation and leaked air, and the tires were almost bald. This is the worst car I've rented in Thailand, and I won't choose Hertz again.
