There was an unexpected Road User Charge of $NZ93 (including card surcharge and Goods and Services Tax).
There was no mention of such at charge at the time of booking, pick-up or drop off by either QEEQ or DOLLAR.

The car is excellent, almost brand new. However, the brand logo is quite small, and the main store only has a small sign, making it hard to locate. Renting and returning the car is straightforward, and the deposit required is relatively low.
Nice clean and comfortable car. Pleasant, competent staff. Great location. Just wish it had been available for the duration of my trip instead of a week.
