The sales agent pushed insurance heavily at pickup, but other than that, the service was quite good and efficient. You need to go to the Vodafone counter at the airport arrivals area to find the sales agent dressed in green.
At the airport, there was someone in the arrivals hall to assist with the car pickup. They charged an additional 30 euros for returning the car at a different location and requested a 5-euro tip. Since we arrived at the airport in the early morning, we felt it was appropriate to tip for their trouble. Shortly after leaving the airport, we were informed by a gas station attendant that there was an issue with the tire pressure. Kudos to the gas station staff who filled the tires for free. Given that almost everything costs money back home, we insisted on tipping. After driving for a few hours, one of the tires blew out—a car with 100,000 kilometers on it likely never had the tires changed, as the spare was worn down. We paid 300 lira when returning the car but received no receipt. They said a digital receipt would be emailed the next day, which we have yet to receive. Fortunately, we followed the advice from Zuzuche customer service and got a written proof from them. We are now in the process of claiming insurance. Hopefully, it will go through. We're glad we bought full coverage insurance, as a tire costs nearly 900 RMB. Sigh...
The service was very good. The gentleman who received us came to the airport himself to meet us. Although it took some effort to find him, he warmly explained the necessary procedures and demonstrated the vehicle and the HGS system. When returning the car, I contacted him in advance, and he came to the airport to pick us up. He was very polite. He even guided us to the international departure hall. Overall, the service was excellent, and the vehicle was great.
There is no fixed counter at the airport; both pick-up and drop-off are at the airport entrance. The person delivering the car asked for an 8-euro tip. The vehicle is fairly old but functional. Make sure to check the car's exterior for scratches and take photos as a record.
1. Circula sends a representative to pick up customers at the airport holding a sign since they don't have a counter at the airport. This wasn't clearly indicated by Zuzuche, causing us to search frantically upon our late-night arrival. The representative was also waiting cluelessly with the sign.
2. Make sure to check the car pick-up and drop-off times carefully written in English by the rental company. We arrived late, exhausted and stressed, and thought showing the Zuzuche order was enough. They handed us an order, we signed it quickly, only wanting to get the car as soon as possible. We didn't realize they put the return time a day earlier. When it was time to return the car, the Circula owner scolded us, asking why they couldn't reach us on our Turkish phone the previous day. We found it weird because we had a data SIM card, not a phone SIM card. We had our Chinese phone, why didn't they contact that? They wanted to charge us an extra day. I urgently called Zuzuche, but it was 3 or 4 am in China, and although someone was on duty, they couldn't actively resolve the issue. After returning to China and going through some trouble, they finally didn't charge the extra day, but it was a waste of energy... really...
