We received a free upgrade. The staff member (Lake) at Cairns pick up was fantastic; brilliant customer service. No hard sell on extras etc, explained everything thoroughly, very friendly.
The rental point is directly opposite the exit of Hobart Airport, making Budge very convenient. The process was smooth and quick; they just asked if we needed insurance. Returning the car was hassle-free with no inspection needed at Launceston Airport. Simply hand over the keys at the counter, confirm the fuel level, and report any incidents.
Budget is quite good. When renting a car in Launceston, they provided a new car. The order mentioned a full tank, but in reality there was no fuel. Called them after finding out and it was resolved later.
Counter wasn't open at Perth Airport. Was diverted to another rental company to facilitate. Queue was long and they weren't sure about some of my questions.
