Please pick up and return your rental vehicle to Secure Parking, 383 La Trobe Street, Melbourne, 3000 Once you have received your documents and keys from our friendly staff at the East Coast Car Rentals office on A’Beckett Street, you can head over to The Mint Secure Car Park to collect your vehicle. To collect your car, walk to Secure Parking, located at The Mint Building, Level 4, 389 La Trobe Street. One of our team members will be there to greet and direct you to your car and provide you with a ticket to exit the car park.

Counter staff is very friendly, however when she did not communicate with the staff that is preparing the vehicle, creating a lot of unnecessary trouble, had to remind the staff regarding the request due to confusion. Staff are in a rush to complete the process just to keep things moving . And informed us to get the insurance from them instead, asking us to get dual insurance to avoid the deposits.

It was a breeze at the counter. It was also nice of them to hold on to the car since we were a couple of hours late in picking it up. They offered to move the booking time to the time of our pick up so that we can return it at the same time the next day which was really nice. The condition of the car was good, fuel was full, booster seat was installed when we asked for their help. Overall, really appreciate the great service and experience of renting the car.

Overall satisfied. Fuel is full, Toll Tag is stick to the front mirror, car perform like new, staff is nice & the office location is just walkable distance to our hotel. The service was very attentive. I only waited about five minutes when signing the paperwork. The staff noticed I was Chinese, so they adjusted their Australian accent and speaking speed. They spoke very standard English, which made me very satisfied. The processing was smooth. When I went to the nearby parking lot to pick up the car, the staff there were Indian. Their service attitude was decent, around 70 out of 100, but they managed to maintain basic etiquette and service procedures. Just don't expect too much for a smoother service. Also, I have to complain about the parking lot for returning the car. When picking up the car it was on the 7th floor, and for the return, you had to drive to the 10th floor. The tricky part is the entrance on the 2nd floor; it's extremely narrow. I rented a Camry, and the width at the entrance was just barely 10 cm wider than the car itself, plus the entrance is at a turn in the middle level. I had nearly 10 years of driving experience in Beijing, so I consider myself quite experienced, but it still took me around 5 minutes to get through that entrance. The situation was worsened by two parked cars near the entrance that day. Just to emphasize, be very careful at this point! I saw a Chinese couple who got scratched at that entrance; they were discussing the issue with the Indian staff. So, really, be cautious!

The biggest advantage of East Coast is the low price, but the condition of the car is average. The car always veers to the right, maybe due to alignment issues or insufficient tire pressure (I have 5 years of driving experience). The store and the pickup point are on opposite sides of the street, in a parking lot on the 10th floor of another building. The door to the parking lot is hard to find, it's best to ask a local for directions, it took me at least 30 minutes. When returning the car, there was a mistake due to the staff (incorrect initial mileage record), so we had to go back to the store to correct it! The pickup point was staffed by some Indian guys, no office, and the car I got was dirty, the exterior was very dirty (uncommon in countries with good air quality). Small companies save money, so their service can't be expected to be good.

The rental company's store is good, located on La Trobe Road in Melbourne, a relatively busy street for car rentals. Overall, the store isn't hard to find. The issue is the seating; there aren't enough seats and the queue is quite long. Having more chairs or a ticketing system would be helpful. Since it was Chinese New Year, there were many renters, mostly through QEEQ, and each customer took a long time to process due to language barriers, averaging at least 20 minutes, sometimes even 30. The company should train their staff better to improve efficiency.

Rented a car in Cairns for a day trip to Paronella Park. After picking up the luggage, called the rental company, and they sent a shuttle to pick us up from a designated area at the airport. The airport is very close to the city center, a 10-minute drive. The vehicle was very new and in good condition.

During holidays, make sure to pick up your car early to avoid crowds and affecting your schedule! We went to the A'Beckett Street branch in Melbourne on New Year's Day. There were only two counters for processing paperwork, and we arrived during peak time around 10 AM. We queued for over an hour, and actually got the car around noon. However, the return time can be extended accordingly, so if you rent for 48 hours, you can use the full time. Processing was fairly quick, taking 5-10 minutes per group. The insurance upsell was minimal; just say 'no' and they won't push further. The car was in great condition, as described, and very clean inside. The gas tank wasn't full when we picked up the car, and we forgot to ask about it on the spot. We called customer service and they connected us to the branch to confirm, and we were told to return the car with the same amount of fuel. Very efficient service. We quickly received an email with car condition info and photos after pick-up, and if returning during store hours, we received the confirmation email within an hour. Everything went smoothly.
