Do not use Budget car rentals! I reserved a Camry but ended up getting a Kia. When I asked the front desk, they said there were no Camrys available and that I had only booked a similar model. At the pickup location, I saw a Camry parked right across from me. This is just a minor issue. Onsite, they insisted I buy a highway day pass for $13 a day. I declined, but the front desk clerk—a rude lady—was visibly displeased and still charged my credit card $50 as a prepaid toll fee, along with a $200 deposit for the car. Three weeks after returning the vehicle, that $250 is still being held with no updates. Even that I can tolerate. The scary part is that starting yesterday, I started receiving bills from an ETC company I never registered with. They charged my credit card—provided to the car rental company—$10 on the first day and $25 on the second day in the city I returned the car. This is theft! Renting a car for just one day caused so much trouble. Avoid these lousy American rental companies!

You do not expect a hire car to break down after 2 days with 18 miles on the clock. I felt the staff who gave me the replacement car just wanted me gone. The second car was ok

All was good till I realise Avis simply added almost triple the amount of we agreed price to my booking, 300 for one way fee which I had in original voucher with QEEQ and another 500 or so of unknown charges. Only extra I ordered was for toll pass. I think they even charged me gas which I ordered full to full and returned it full of course. Was fan of them before but this was a disaster!

The sign for Europcar could have been bigger and displayed on the wall as the other are. As it is, it is only a small countertop sign which is hard to see and located at a different desk.

We waited quite a while for our turn at the counter to get our car, late in New Year's Eve. But the staff were courteous and efficient. Also, the back seat of our car was filled with dog hair, both on the seat and the carpet. We took it to a car wash and tried to vacuum it ourselves, but we couldn't get the dog hair out, either. It was not pleasant.

I was very upset to learn that even though I'd prepaid for my reservation and was told I'd not owe anything at the time of the pickup, I still had over $300 charged to my credit card (not a hold, but an actual charge). When i called Fox to clarify, I was on hold almost an hour before getting through, and when I did I was told it was a deposit on hold because Fox had not received payment from Easyrentcars...the deposit would be credited back when I returned the car. It was credited, but i was charged in essence 14 days of interest on $300 because of the charge. Luckily I had the credit available on my card but this could have been a very bad experience and still shouldn't have been the case since I was charged upfront and prepaid over $500 for the rental. Very disappointed in this.

Short wait, knowledgeable ticket agent, creepy guy moving cars around in the garage kept staring at us during my initial walk-around inspection. When receipt was given at end, we were surprised and questioned all the upcharges. We were told that car insurance was included and we also prepaid the tolls fee of $11.00/day (PlatePass all inclusive) But other charges are broken-down as "additional driver" "consolidated facility" "energy recovery fee" "loss damage waiver" "vehicle license fee" and "concession." SAY WHAT ?! We feel like we were ripped-off as these details were not made apparent at check-in.

This was my first time renting a car from Payless. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly, although I did feel a bit pressured by his fast-speaking and lack of explanation of the contract. Also, be careful of purchasing insurance through PAYLESS, they will try to sneak in "extras" that you don't need. Check in and check out was a breeze though, and that was a nice relief. Overall, would rent from them again.

I reserved a Impala or equivalent size car. First of all, the counter asked me to get a larger car with extra money, so I said no. Then, the counter kept refreshing the monitor to hold a car. It took more than 20 min. to get me a Rav4. I had to accept the car. The space is smaller than Chevy Impala, but could not wait more due to 2 little girls.

Our person at the pick up counter did the best she could however she was the only working and the line got very long. When we walked out to get our car we were somewhat shocked as the car we were given looked less than well maintained...no hubcaps on any of the wheels. Looked like it had 4 spares. (See pictures) When we asked to have another car we were told we would have to go back downstairs and wait in a very long line which we did not have the time to do. The car made some strange noises while we drove it and we often wondered if it was going to make it up a hill or two. Overall, this car really should not have been put out for rental. We were VERY disappointed and will be asking for a refund. As frequent travelers this was definitely NOT how a rental car experience should be.
