They were not able to read a gas gauge and tried to charge me for not returning the rental full

The counter is conveniently located near the arrivals area, but the staff were inflexible. We booked the car for 2 PM, arrived at 1:20 PM but couldn't get the car until 2 PM.

The new vw Polo was great, the interior was impeccable, nice extras were the adaptive cruise control and the intelligent lights. It may be that previously the tank was not completely full (took a few more liters to fill it up than the travelled distance would suggest) not a major issue though, it was still a very good deal.

All went smoothly. No issues.

They prepared a manual car but I boked an automatic. They replaced when I pounted the mistake aout upon seeing the car. The process of picking up the car was very slow. On return I arrived a few hours earlier to return the car. It was during normal opening hours but nobody was there. I had to wait 30 minutes as the branch was short of staff. They went to pick up a car from service.

The counter staff was good, did not try to sell additional unnecesssary insurance. Prompt service, car was ready. I did not get the car though. I booked an estate but got a small-medium SUV. Not sure if its an upgrade. In any case the most important to us was the luggage space. Thankfully we were able to just about squeeze ours in. I specifically booked an estate for the purpose of the luggage space.

I am happy with the level of engagement even after booking. I was reminded 9f my booking, pick up and drop off process and locations. All very clear and makes it feel like I am not left on my own after the booking.

We booked a Passat station wagon and were given a Kia Sportage, a five-seater. If the same model isn't available, they shouldn't downgrade us.

Great service and can't fault anything.

Customer service is unhelpful. Charged twice for the same reason. I chose the outbound option when booking, but after returning the car, they charged me more than 2000 for the outbound reason. Suspect the platform and the rental company are scamming customers together. Won't use this platform again.

This is a scam targeting Chinese tourists, creating a perfect trap with pre-authorizations, fabricating non-existent car damages, and stealing from customers' credit cards! Blood and tears warning: Stay away from this company!

My car exceeded my expectation. But I waited at the counter for more than an hour because Hertz didn’t have the reservation….? So I got an upgraded car ?

The staff had a very good attitude during pickup, didn't push any insurance sales, and there were no hidden charges. The inspection during return was very thorough; I've never experienced such a detailed check before.

Yes Hertz staff at Budapest (Gary) was brilliant, as i had two extra passengers and decided to go for a bigger car, not only did gary give me an automatic but a brand new Kia CEED, and the car was excellent, for only an extra 100 euros. However on returning the car a different staff said i had to pay extra for petrol - but showed him a pic to indicate tank was full, and additionally i had to pay 27 euros extra on taxes which was not mentioned when i hired the car at pick up point. Otherwise Hertz services and staff are TOP CLASS. Otherdrawback is the 1200 euro deposit - quite steep I personally think.
