Noone in office, no car was made available for us. They couldn’t find my number to call us. We ended up using a different company Which delayed us 2.5 hrs trying to sort out. Will actively tell people to never use this company
The rental staff were extremely friendly and communicative in English. They agreed to let us return the car later and even gave us a free ride to the airport. They also helped us deal with a parking ticket. Really appreciate it!

Our flight information changed the morning we were leaving the USA for our trip, which was two days before we attempted to pick up the car. I called right cars, knowing there was a time difference and it was late at night in New Zealand, however I wanted to confirm the change in pickup time as soon as I found out the flight information changed. We were originally to land around 1pm, and it changed to land at 11pm. A man answered who said he was working from home, and I told him I wanted to make sure we could pick up when we landed even if it was at night outside of office hours. He confirmed, saying that he was going to be on shift at that time. When we landed, I called for the shuttle and the same man told me no one was there, that I was supposed to pick up the car at 11am THE NEXT DAY. I told him that I could not come back the next day, that I specifically checked with him that i could pick it up at night and he insisted that the pickup time was set for 11am. I told him to cancel the car, and went to an airport desk to rent a car that I could take straightaway.
When I called to get a refund the next day, I was told I had to go through the booking company. I called and was told I was marked a no-show, so I could not get a refund. I called the owner of Right Cars and he said he would have to do some investigating, but I have heard nothing since.

The car itself was fine; drove well, no issues. The only problem was the fact that everything was in Japanese and it hadn't been switched 9ver yet despite having over 150,000 kilometers logged.
At the airport, we called for a pickup. The pickup location is outside the 2-door exit, not in the parking lot, but at the shuttle bus stop on the left. It takes 10 minutes to get to the company. The young foreign guy who received us was very friendly and quickly completed the formalities for us. Returning the car was also very smooth, the same staff member drove us to the airport and even helped us with the luggage cart. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.
Like: I was really surprised by the great customer service I received from these guys. My flight was delayed due to bad weather but they had kept abreast of this and were waiting to pick me up at the airport. Pick up and drop off were super easy. Thank you! Dislike: Nothing, it was really good :)
