Good service, but wait time was a bit long.

Pick up was fine. A little tuition about the car would have been helpful as unless you drive particular models there are variations which can baffle. Our main issue though was directions back to the drop off point. Sat nav didn’t take us to the right place. Directions generally in Norway seem to be less than perfect though.

The Avis counter staff were WONDERFUL. The car had a dent in it that was unnoticed by their review, so I have to sort that out because they think I didn't (but I didn't), and the vehicle needed replacement of some fluid during the trip that I shouldn't have had to deal with. So I don't think their maintenance/vehicle care team is strong. But they credited me at the counter for the cost of the fluid I had to purchase, so that was good.

The rental included the additional driver fee, but the rental staff charged it separately. Although it was corrected later, it felt a bit misleading.

Good attitude, but had to wait at least 15 minutes for the person in front to finish

Overall service was satisfactory, the usage instructions were explained very clearly.

1. Extremely slow, caused us to miss the train. 2. I clearly stated I had purchased full insurance via the rental platform, but they kept insisting we buy their insurance, threatening huge losses if we didn't. 3. The car they gave us showed multiple warning lights within a day: maintenance light, rear-right light not working, and the car's performance was poor. I booked a Volkswagen, but they gave me a Mazda.

The staff is professional and efficient.

I did ask AVIS about Deposit Amount, because it was important for me. I was hardly find any contact and waste a lot of time to this. All contacts, except of facebook, generate answers by robots, such as "you question is very important for us". The operator at facebook answer was "sorry, your question is out of my competence". On another side, manager on pick-up was competence and gentle enough.

The car was in great condition, but it took nearly an hour to pick it up, probably due to the peak season.
