The rental service from ZuzuCar was very poor, and I probably won't use them again. We booked a full insurance package on the website, but upon arrival to pick up the car, we were informed that we had only paid for the car itself. Additional fees for insurance, extra mileage, pre-purchased gas, and so on needed to be paid separately. Calling ZuzuCar's customer service on-site did not resolve the issue; they simply told us to pay the extra costs ourselves. There was no coordination between ZuzuCar and Apollo. We ended up spending nearly two hours at the pick-up location. In the end, we had to buy additional insurance and cover other costs ourselves, paying over 600 AUD more than originally planned. After returning home, ZuzuCar's customer service continued to ignore us, and there has been no word on compensation so far. However, Apollo's service attitude was quite good.
They gave us a faulty car, which sometimes switched to F gear by itself. There was no manual provided, so we had no idea how to resolve issues. We had to call roadside assistance each time, and it took about an hour to wait for them. We called roadside assistance twice for the same problem, and they couldn't fix it. The assistance personnel suggested we find the manual at a dealership, saying they couldn't diagnose the problem without it. We had no choice but to drive the faulty car all the way.
During my car rental period, I committed a traffic violation. Since the car from Apollo Company is registered under the company’s name, the fine is ten times higher than that for an individual. However, when the rental company received the fine notice, they did not handle it and simply passed it on to me, asking me to pay. After checking the traffic regulations, I found that in this situation, the regulations allow me to transfer the name on the fine to my personal name, reducing the fine to one-tenth of the original amount. The rental company should be well aware of this and should inform the renter immediately upon receiving such fines from the traffic authority, assisting them in transferring the name. But Apollo Company did nothing and gave no reminders. Uninformed customers might end up paying ten times the fine unjustly. Therefore, it can be concluded that Apollo Company is very irresponsible and, to a certain extent, even deceptive. So, be cautious with this company. The service from the car rental platform itself is good, but their experience in dealing with unscrupulous foreign merchants needs improvement.
