This is a scam company. They force you to buy insurance without informing you. Do not choose this company. This is the first time I encountered such an issue after renting cars numerous times in the US, Canada, and abroad. The final bill was higher than the online estimate because they claimed I bought extra insurance, which I never did. When I picked up the car, they just handed me the keys and the contract, asked me to sign, and never mentioned anything about insurance. The whole process took one minute. In my previous rentals, if they wanted to upsell insurance, they would at least ask me. This time, they didn’t say anything, just had me sign the contract, then the Indian guy made a few marks on the contract, but the copy I received was blank, I remember clearly. This is practically daylight robbery.
I don't understand English and it was my first time self-driving in Canada for over a month. Thanks to QEEQ, I found a car rental company. Picking up and returning the car was easy, very nice. However, due to communication issues, the rental company charged an extra 100 CAD for a one-way rental from Calgary to Vancouver. After negotiating, they agreed to refund, but it's been over a month and I don't know if they have refunded yet.
No navigation system. Other companies offer free navigation and free car upgrades, but this company downgraded me. I booked a Ford SUV, considering the safety of American cars, but they gave me a Hyundai. When I asked why it wasn't a Ford, they said it's the same category. Speechless.
