The car provided was not a Peugeot 3008. After returning the car, there was an additional charge of $28 without any explanatory email or reason given. The company's service address was different from the one on the confirmation voucher provided by QEEQ, making the car pick-up quite inconvenient and requiring a lot of extra walking.
The staff was very experienced. I was worried about communication issues with AVIS regarding price and insurance. In the end, the staff simply told us that if we had purchased insurance, we might need to pay upfront and then claim back from the insurance company. This appears to be the process for buying QEEQ insurance. However, we explained that we bought the car rental company's insurance. He quickly checked using the phone number and confirmed we had insurance. The car pickup and drop-off were very convenient. We used the self-service drop-off and received the final bill promptly. So far, we are very satisfied. Having a car made traveling around England much easier.
The initial car was too small, despite us booking for 5 adults we were given a tiny SUC that we would not have fitted in.
However, the agent at AVIS was extremely and offered an upgrade at a fraction of the normal price which allowed us to have the room we needed.
