They were great and couldn’t be better

Couldn’t be better in anyway at all.

Other than the incorrect location of the rental counter shown on the map, the rest of the rental process was pleasant and smooth. Car was new and very nice to drive.

For a first time user, booking process was easy and smooth. The dollar reservation also gives a lot of confidence.

Really enjoyed this booking. Car was amazing almost brand new and all the toys incl. sat nav

Perfect transaction

We'd booked a Toyota RAV 4 auto (or equivalent) but were given a Nissan Quashquai (on the South Island) which is smaller than a RAV 4. For the North Island we got a Kia Sportage which wasn't as clean as it could have been.

Excellent service and email communication throughout.

Good car presented clean. Collection desk was easy to find but the car was parked a few hundred metres from where the staff told us and on a different road. Damage easily visible was not marked on paperwork and had to be added taking up extra time. Key drop off and final payment confusing and unclear, had to phone the office as it was unmanned on all attempts to talk face to face. The staff were also unable to clarify the situation and were no help.

Car was very fuel efficient and easy to drive. The pick up process was very simple also.

Easy and cheap options.

Superb service, staff, information and great little car.

I didn't have to provide half of the information on your checklist. Not an issue for me but makes you wonder if it is up to date. There was a year in the material in the foot well by the brake. Not on the photo list given which seemed odd. I took my own photo but wasn't asked about it. But then on dropping off the car their appeared to be little interest from staff. In fact I could have just dropped key in a box. Again not really an issue for me as there were no issues.

See comment regarding checklist of items. On neither booking in New Zealand was I asked for the international drivers license if bought especially. Or my passport, just drivers license and credit card.

I love the service

I posted a long review on TripAdvisor. I found the pick-up process to be very easy. However, I was upset when I dropped off the car, and found that there was no one at the office in Queenstown. Instead, there was a note on the door telling me to find a parking place downtown the leave the car, and then put the key and a note as to where the car was in a box next to the office tour. As I knew nothing about Queenstown and did not want something to happen to the car, I was not about to do that. About 10 minutes after I arrived in town, I tried calling Apex's 800 number, only to be transferred to a voicemail. When the agent showed up about a half an hour later, she was unapologetic. I will not use Apex ever again.

The process to pick up the car was easy. My only reason for having to wait a little while was due to an overseas visitor (with limited English) picking a car up before me.

The staff were all very nice and great.

Overall quite satisfied

The car was a Toyota Rav 4. Excellent value for money and it ran very well for the whole trip. It was an older vehicle which had a lot more superficial paint damage than was in the original photographs but the lady at the desk at Greymouth dealt with that quickly with me and took notes of the additional marks to the car. This wasnt a problem at all and I am very pleased overall.

This all worked great. Easy to book. The car pick up only took time because a load of people got off the train at Graymouth at the same time. The staff were excellent and the wait was not a problem at all.

The car obviously hadn't been cleaned, inside or out, before our hire commenced. This was very disappointing

We were given a bigger car than what we opted for and were grateful for that!

Platform is easy friendly and price drop monitor works like a charm!
