Christchurch: When you are ready to pick up the car, please call our service hotline at 0800 660 600 (within New Zealand) or +64 9600 6660 (international). We strongly recommend adding our customer service WeChat ID: arentalsnz. We provide free airport shuttle service during business hours: Monday to Sunday, 08:30-18:00. Free shuttle service hours: Monday to Sunday, 08:30-17:30. If you arrive at the pick-up point outside of the free shuttle service hours, which is from 18:31 to 8:29 the next day, a surcharge of 65 New Zealand dollars will be applied. (This surcharge includes the pick-up service). Terminal: After collecting your luggage, contacting the customer service, and informing the number of companions, proceed to the shuttle waiting area outside Gate 2. The store is approximately a 5-minute drive from the airport. Important notes: If you have a non-English driver's license, you must provide a valid English translation document from a translation agency recognized by the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA). Depending on your insurance type, we will pre-authorize a deposit of 100 to 1000 New Zealand dollars on the main driver's credit card (Visa or Mastercard only). Very good car experience, good condition,I booked a gasoline Alphard, and the store gave me a free upgrade to the hybrid Alphard. It’s really great！ the car is very new! The interior of the car is so clean it’s unbelievable! Friendly service staff, very enthusiastic and professional. Mobile phone charging cables and mobile phone holders are prepared for us. The procedure for picking up and returning the car is very simple. It is recommended to purchase comprehensive insurance so you don’t have to worry about scratches while driving along the way. I will choose A rentals company next time I come to New Zealand. Highly recommended!

Pre-trip communication via WeChat was convenient, but upon arriving in Christchurch to pick up the car, it turned out to be from an agent, not A RENTALS. The agent was only responsible for providing the vehicle and did not handle any other issues. Very satisfied, a staff member will pick you up at the airport before the car rental and take you to the store for traffic regulation training to ensure safe driving. You don't have to worry about finding the rental location at all. This service is much better than what we experienced at Herz in North Island. When we returned the car to the store, they also took us to the airport. So, don't hesitate, choosing A Rentals is the right choice.

I chose to rent a gasoline car from Europcar, but the Auckland location only had electric cars available. During our two-day trip, we found six charging stations, but only two of them worked; the rest were either out of order or required a local SIM card for payment. We spent at least four hours charging the car, causing us to miss our return flight. This is just for reference for future travelers.
