Booked a Ford, got upgraded to a Mercedes. Awesome! But the service attitude was just so-so. Our drop-off time was 1:00 PM, but we rushed to get there before noon in case they closed. The nearby construction made it hard to find the parking lot. We temporarily parked in front of the store and were told to wait, and then they just closed the door. Maybe this is how they treat Chinese customers abroad. We still haven't confirmed the final charges; the efficiency is quite disappointing.

About Hertz:4.0/10
There wasn't much service to speak of. You sign the paperwork and they tell you where the car is parked; you pick it up yourself. Since it's a franchise, Hertz membership cards are not valid. During the rental period, there was cross-border travel, and they charged a daily cross-border fee for the entire rental period.
The Security Deposit for the car to hire was rediculous. 1000 euro was roughly $1600 AUD for me. This required me to shift money around on pickup to cover and i still haven’t received the funds back which is inconvenient currently for the rest of my trip where I need the $$$. I also checked over the car before leaving and lucky I did as there was damage on the roof which has not been documented from the previous rental driver. This was a near miss and I could easily have been slapped with the bill as a result.
Picking up, using, and returning the car was very convenient. I recommend buying insurance at the rental location. I booked a Citroën but received an Opel, which was stable even at 160 km/h on the highway. The car had some scratches, but they informed me beforehand. I just handed over the keys when returning.
The staff were efficient and enthusiastic. Any issues were resolved smoothly. The car we initially got was significantly different in size from what we booked, but it was quickly replaced after negotiation. However, finding the car was a hassle. Despite its close proximity, unclear instructions from the staff made us search for half an hour.
The service attitude was poor and very impatient. When I had questions about the bill during pickup, they were rude and said if I didn't want the car, I should cancel the order. During drop-off, they nitpicked everything. When I wanted to call for confirmation, they said they were busy and couldn't wait. Overall, this was my first and last time using Hertz.
Average service with pressuring customers. They did not acknowledge the insurance bought on the rental platform, causing us to spend an extra 200 euros on insurance. They mentioned it was optional, but in case of an incident, even with other insurance, they would still charge us.
The vehicle provided was great. The service guy told me that they upgraded the car to a bigger one for free. The car was in good condition, and both pickup and return were smooth.

About Hertz:10.0/10
The car pickup process was very smooth, and the staff were very nice. They drove the car directly to the pickup point for handover, so I didn't need to find it in the parking lot myself.

About Hertz:10.0/10
Great service, the car was very new, and they patiently explained the cost details. When recommending insurance, I showed them QEEQ's reminders, and they promptly accepted them.
Scared me with insurance, when itnis a rip off, asked me check the car for extra damage before taking possession and I found plenty more, car not full, no info on parking in Vienna which is essential. Had no more time to waste. Terrible return with no information on where to return in city you can get a ticket just standing still for 20sec, never even looked at possible damages so making big scare at pickup very displeasing.
The car provided by the Vienna main train station branch had a chip in the windshield. It is irresponsible to assign such a vehicle with safety hazards to a customer renting for 11 days. As expected, the windshield began to crack after one day of driving, and it got progressively worse, forcing us to replace the car in Innsbruck. The replacement car had seat safety issues, causing a one-day delay in our entire trip.
