Overall, very good. Quick pickup.

This EUROPCAR company is extremely terrible. On the Zuzuche platform, it indicated that our credit card would be accepted, but when we arrived at the store, they did not acknowledge it and said that Zuzuche platform had nothing to do with them. As a result, they didn't give us the car, refused to cancel the order, and denied a refund, wasting us thousands of yuan.

Europcar was extremely efficient and was very easy to pick up and drop off my rental car.

I rented a Tesla, having never driven one before. The Europcar agent Herman was very helpful in explaining the basics to me. I would definitely rent through them again.

1. Poor car condition. We rented a Golf, and after just 10 kilometers, the tire pressure warning light came on. Returned to the rental office immediately, but the staff insisted it was our responsibility. Only after arguing did they agree to a replacement with the same model. 2. Hidden charges. After returning home, we discovered an additional 25 Euros charged for an upgrade, even though the replacement was due to the car’s condition! This was the worst experience we've had with any car rental service!

The Polo I wanted to rent was unavailable, and they kept trying to upsell me more expensive models and additional insurance.

Forced to buy the mandatory store insurance for 680 euros (5000 RMB) for 14 days. The car provided was just average. Cross-border fee was 178 euros (1400 RMB). I personally recommend buying the full insurance from the rental service. My deposit has still not been refunded even though the order is completed.

Aggressive sales tactics

Please note that Barcelona airport has two terminals. Make sure to choose the correct one when booking, as they are not well connected.

They automatically provide high-priced comprehensive insurance, so there's hardly any inspection when returning the car.

Specified vehicle not available. Offered slightly smaller automatic alternative. Whilst easier driving the overall comfort levels were affected due to a lesser amount of luggage space
