CAR RENTAL REVIEWS ON DOLLAR AT LA GUARDIA AIRPORT, LGA

The queuing time was quite long, probably because there were many people near the airport. We waited for more than an hour. There was no extra sales pitch. However, we booked a Ford Focus or a similar class car, but we received a Chevrolet SPARK. When I asked at the counter, the staff said this is considered the same class. Who knows how they classify them? At least in China, these two are definitely not in the same class. Also, the middle seat at the back of the Chevrolet SPARK is a cup holder, so since we had 5 people, one had to make do. For a long trip, this would be unbearable.

God and fast service. I have never picked up or returned a car so fast.

Like: The car was almost new and in great condition.
Dislike: The location was understaffed, hence a very long queue at pickup counter.

The customer service representative we had on the return was Tracy. She went above and beyond to help me with checking in the car.

The car was ok just way to low the associate at the counter was not friendly at all the price had increased by about 2 dollars and all she said it that the company I dealt with dont know what they are doing and that what she quoted was what had to be paid if i wanted the rental. not sure If I would do this again

Good friendly service - although the place was a little hard to find. Vehicle was excellent. We used it for a shopping trip up to woodbury common - plenty of space for all of us and all our shopping.

Very thorough in checking documents, so the process was not fast. I was asked if I wanted insurance that included towing fees, but I insisted and they eventually dropped it. Returning the car was very convenient; after a quick round outside, I just handed over the keys, got the receipt, and left.

The service at the counter was average, and they wanted to charge an extra dollar, sometimes claiming it was tax, other times saying it was an airport fee, very confusing. However, when I returned the car a few minutes late, the staff helped waive the $50 fee that would have been charged.

The Dollar phone representatives were extremely unhelpful. They told me that I could return the car early and receive a pro-rated rate and when I arrived at the counter, I was told otherwise. I ended up returning the car early and paying the full amount. When at that point, I attempted to keep the car, per the original agreement, the counter representative become hostile and verbally abusive.

The woman at the New York location had a bad attitude. Her English was just sufficient for communication, but she added many extra items like prepaid gas, which was not fair.
