Quick counter service at pickup and dropoff.
The car was spotless inside and out.
We were dropped off at Terminal 2 in a shuttle bus area.
But at pickup we had to walk a long way to a Priority pickup area the public use. The shuttle bus area at Terminal 2 would have been much better for seniors with luggage
About QEEQ:10.0/10
Website was easy to use and plenty of updates received by email.
Next time I would prefer to use Simba Car Insurance as the claim arrangement is not by reimbursement.
I sort of got tricked into buying from QEEQ
“Terrible car provider, will overcharge you if you have a problem.”
About Simba Car Hire:6.0/10
Terrible car provider, should be avoided! They provided us with a brand new car, which was nice. Unfortunately I scratched a bit the rim. In the contract, it's clearly written that a rim scratch is $195. They took our $500 bond and also took around $320 directly from my bank account w/o my consent. Pure scam.
Very good! The front desk Indian guy was very nice! I just didn't realize they open at 7 AM. My flight was at 8, so I had to ask a friend to return the car. In the rush, we forgot to refuel, and there was a $15 refueling fee plus fuel cost. However, the invoice had all the charges clearly listed. Overall, the experience was very good, and I would rent again. The car was also very new and easy to drive, though this model had issues with CarPlay disconnecting.
First order: The flight was delayed, and the staff left on time at 8:30 PM, so I had to cancel.
Second order: Arrived at the store in the afternoon but was told there was no reservation. The staff were okay, but after communicating with the rental company for a long time, they still had no car available. It was a hassle for the whole family.
Car had SA Rego
All radio stations were preset to SA stations, and therefore reception was not clear. It took a while to work ot why reception was poor.
Cars shold have local stations pre-set
Due to the flight schedule, I picked up the car at 5 PM when it was already getting dark. This store has longer business hours compared to others, so I was a bit worried it might close early, but it stays open late, which perfectly solved the pickup problem. Since both pickup and drop-off are at the same location, the shuttle service was very quick. A deposit of $500 was taken at pickup and has been refunded today. Additionally, there is an extra charge if you need to add an additional driver, and drivers under 25 also need to pay an extra fee similar to a security deposit. Overall, I've found that the stores on QEEQ are quite convenient, and you can choose according to your needs. They're all pretty good!
In addition to credit and debit cards, you can now pay for online car rentals with cryptocurrency! Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are accepted. Curious about how long a Bitcoin transaction takes or how to pay with Bitcoin? Read our FAQs for more details.
