The location provided by the rental company was hard to find. After asking many people and finally calling, I found out their office was about 1 kilometer away from the train station. Carrying luggage in the heat was tough. When I finally found it, the car wasn't ready and I had to wait an hour. Despite paying a 70 euro border-crossing fee in advance, when I reached the Kosovo border, I had to pay another 15 euro because the previous arrangement wasn't processed correctly.
When returning the car, they charged me 200 euros for a minor scratch, claiming it was enough to replace a new bumper. I doubt they will actually fix the car for such a minor scratch.
They threatened us with exorbitant charges, stating that even minor paint damage could cost up to 500 euros. They claimed the insurance from the car rental platform couldn't cover it and pushed us to buy their own full insurance for several hundred euros.
In addition to credit and debit cards, you can now pay for online car rentals with cryptocurrency! Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are accepted. Curious about how long a Bitcoin transaction takes or how to pay with Bitcoin? Read our FAQs for more details.
