The process was simple and convenient. However, I am quite upset about the inexplicable $30 fuel charge when I returned the car at San Francisco airport, especially since I refueled before returning it.
The store is big. The car I reserved (similar to RAV4) was unavailable, and the front desk offered me a Kia. I reluctantly agreed, but later in the parking lot, an employee informed me that I could choose any SUV. I picked a GMC, which consumed more fuel. The return process was seamless despite my concern; they just checked the fuel gauge, and I was done in under 5 minutes. The pick-up and drop-off process was very straightforward. I am not sure if there will be any charges.
The car seemed to have an electrical fault of sorts - we were worried it would break down a few times!
The vehicle was relatively clean but there were lots of window smudges on the inside and out, and there wasn’t much washer liquid left to clean them.
They seem to add on a lot of additional charges at the counter which aren’t particularly well advertised when you book it. We ended up spending as much at the front desk as we paid to originally hire the car so it ended up being twice as expensive as we thought it would be.
