Renting a car in the Philippines (Manila) is an extremely terrible experience. Avoid renting a car here at all costs. The city has some of the most corrupt police officers, chaotic traffic systems, countless two-wheeled and three-wheeled motorcycles darting everywhere, beggars at every intersection, and no clear reminder of the return point location. Everything here is very driver-unfriendly.
The company's counter is at the left side of the airport exit, next to the SIM card counter. We were supposed to arrive at 9 AM, but we got there at 8 AM and the staff arrived immediately after we called, without charging us for the early pickup. During the inspection, we didn’t notice that the left side mirror was broken, but after calling the staff, they said it was fine. They charged us an extra 500 PHP for dropping the car off at the hotel, which was done efficiently. Good service, no pushy extra insurance sales.
!!!!!!! Attention prévoir des espèces !!!!!!!!
In addition to credit and debit cards, you can now pay for online car rentals with cryptocurrency! Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are accepted. Curious about how long a Bitcoin transaction takes or how to pay with Bitcoin? Read our FAQs for more details.
