The airport shuttle takes only 5 minutes to the rental company. The process on site is quick, just pick a car and go. Returning the car is even more convenient. Just drive in (with a full tank), and the inspection takes just a few minutes. Very convenient.

I paid in full online, but the store staff informed me that in the LA area, it's mandatory to buy personal insurance or you can't pick up the car. I rented the car for about a month, which cost roughly 700 USD, but they mandated purchasing insurance for over 500 USD. Has anyone else encountered this requirement?

The car pickup process took quite a long time, and the procedure to change cars during the trip was cumbersome and inefficient, which forced us to alter our itinerary. However, the return process was quick and simple, although the shuttle intervals were somewhat long.
