I am very dissatisfied with this car rental experience. I mistakenly selected the wrong pick-up location, and although I rented the car for 7 days, I contacted customer service immediately upon arriving at the airport to correct the pick-up location. However, they informed me that it could not be changed or canceled, so I never got the car but was still charged for the 7 days. I find the policies of this car rental company to be extremely unreasonable and feel they are outright unfair. Additionally, the customer service was unhelpful and unsympathetic, and there was no way to file a complaint through phone or any department. I am very disappointed with this car rental company and will not use their services again.

The kiosk at the site required a lot of information to input, and halfway through it crashed, forcing us to go to the counter, which was very frustrating. When booking, we had purchased full insurance, but the counter staff insisted we didn't. It wasn't until we showed the English part of the insurance provided by the rental service that they finally accepted it. Additionally, we had selected the option to return the car with a full tank when booking, but the counter staff insisted we buy their fuel (empty tank return), saying it would cost extra to return it full and that their fuel prices were much higher. Not wanting to waste time, we agreed... only to find out the outside fuel prices were half of what the rental company charged. It was infuriating!! The counter staff was really terrible!!

Alamo Car Rental is very professional. Showed the rental slip at pickup and drove off with the car in a minute. For drop-off, just handed over the keys and left. I expected some additional charges like a car wash fee, but there were no extra costs. Simple and fast.

The store's service attitude and efficiency were excellent, but they didn't have the 4WD Grand Cherokee I booked, only a similar 2WD vehicle. Upgrading to another model would have cost an additional $75 per day, which made my trip difficult, especially since my itinerary involved mountain roads and canyons, particularly in winter. Driving a 2WD vehicle in heavy snow on mountain highways at night worried me and reduced the enjoyment of my drive. I hope the rental company can work with partners to reduce discrepancies between bookings and actual vehicles provided. Online, it stated 4WD, but at the store, they offered three 2WD models, and upgrading cost extra. If it's similar, it should still be 4WD based on my travel requirements. I've rented from this site four times, and the first three were very satisfactory. This time posed significant risks. Additionally, I bought the super all-inclusive insurance and showed the English explanation to the store staff, informing them I'd already purchased it. However, the staff insisted that it did not cover roadside assistance, glass, or chassis insurance and required me to sign a document stating I'd be fully responsible for any incidents requiring roadside assistance at $200 per mile for towing. I refused to add any more coverage as per the pre-rental instructions, and the staff eventually relented.
