AVIS Maintenance Issues

At the counter, the staff asked us if we wanted to pay extra to upgrade the vehicle. After we declined, their attitude became very cold, and without our consent, they secretly added a so-called road assistance insurance for $106.80!!! When charged, we asked why, and they said it was a deposit and would be refunded when we returned the car. After picking up the car, we asked customer service and found out it was an added insurance!!! What a scam!!! We will never rent from AVIS again! Liars!!!

Limited car options, had to change the model as the booked one was not available; the replacement car had a loose steering wheel and worn-out tires.

Overall service is satisfactory.

Had to wait in line for almost an hour

The wait time for picking up the car was quite long. The staff kept persuading us to upgrade the vehicle, and the pricing was not very transparent. The return process, however, was fairly simple and smooth.
