Everything went smoothly when picking up the car in Göreme, but returning the car at Izmir airport was a nightmare! Our flight was at 4:15 PM, we arrived at the airport at 1 PM, but couldn't find the return location and couldn't reach anyone on the phone. I had to run to the airport by myself to ask for help, running from the international terminal to the domestic terminal, struggling with the language barrier and fearing we'd miss our flight. After finally finding the Avis counter, I expected someone to help guide us back to our car, but the staff were too busy and told me to go find it myself. It took two hours in total, and we finally returned the car after 3 PM. Luckily, the flight was delayed, otherwise we would have missed it! I ended up crying in the airport parking lot out of frustration!
Circular staff at Nevşehir Airport were very unprofessional. The rental form had no contact details, and there was no office within the airport. We waited outside the airport for half an hour before the staff finally showed up. This company requires you to write down your credit card's security code, not just a simple pre-authorization! When we tried to negotiate, the staff was very rude. They also charged an extra 29 EUR for one-way rental and 3 EUR for airport fees, despite us having full insurance. Furthermore, they don't have a designated drop-off point at Ankara Airport; you need to contact the staff by phone.
This is a fraudulent company. First, they downgraded our car without permission when we picked it up and copied our credit card used for the initial deposit, resulting in unauthorized charges. After the first accident, they forced us to pay an additional $1,000 USD and another 1,000 Turkish Lira deposit with unreasonable terms before giving us a replacement car and refused to provide an accident report. Following the second accident, they refused to provide us with a car, lied to us saying we would get one in the next city, but no one responded when we got there. We ended up with neither car nor money. When they realized we wouldn’t pay them any more money, they took all of our deposit money.
The car had no fuel when picked up at the airport. We found the pick-up point because a local driver held up a sign. When exchanging the car, their staff had to be there instead of doing it ourselves. Neither pickup nor drop-off was at the airport, and they charged an extra fuel fee of 500.
The process is straightforward, just provide your driver's license and QEEQ international certification. Payment can only be made by card, cash is not accepted by staff. Instructions are clearly explained.
