Non-Airport Collection: Please collect from our office located at, Karl Business Park, 92 Old Ballyrobin Rd, Antrim BT41 4TJ. Arriving on train: The nearest rail station to the airport is Antrim train station, which is under five miles from the terminal. Connections to all major rail-linked towns and cities in Ireland can be made from Antrim train station. Arriving on bus: The Airport Express 300 operates a regular service on weekdays and weekends from Belfast city centre to the bus stop located opposite the terminal exit. Dropping off your car: Belfast Airport is situated just 18 miles northwest of Belfast and is easily accessed via the major road and motorway network. Our branch, which is located in Karl Business park nearby can be found signposted off the A57.

Local renters go to car lot. AIRLINE PASSENGERS: Avis counter is at baggage claim. To get to car park you must exit the Arrivals Hall, turn right at the taxi rank and go to the second bus stop marked Avis/McCauslands. A yellow McCausland/Avis courtesy bus will take customer to Avis Cabin (3 min away). The courtesy bus runs 24hrs. LOCAL RENTER: From Belfast, follow M2 through Temple Patrick to airport. From North follow Antrim and then follow signs to the airport. PREFERRED SERVICE: N/A OUT OF HOURS: Complete paperwork in on document wallet. Park vehicle next to petrol pump in car return area and leave paperwork in the vehicle. Lock car and place keys in the keybox located on the garage wall.

When returning the car, there was a scratch, but it wasn't severe. They charged £2000, not as a pre-authorization, but a direct deduction. Initially, I thought the scratch would be quick to fix, so I agreed. Unexpectedly, it's been two months since I returned, and there's been no response—just saying it's being processed. I'm wondering, couldn't they just touch up the paint a little and rent the car out again? Looks like the £2000 was a rip-off.

The staff at the pick-up point were very friendly and always had a smile on their faces. There were no additional sales pitches. I had booked a Ford Focus but was upgraded for free to a Mercedes A180. However, there were quite a few people picking up cars, so the wait time was a bit long. Europcar didn't have too many customers compared to Avis next door, which had an extremely long line. Since Northern Ireland and Ireland are on a separate island without road connections to other countries, it’s harder for cars from other regions to come over, so there are more people renting cars here.

The car pickup process was anything but smooth. Hertz displayed a price on Zuzuche that wasn't the final amount. We almost couldn't get the car because our credit card limit wasn't enough. We had to transfer funds last minute, which made the start very unpleasant. The car we got was a Peugeot 3008, apparently the only model available. The staff insisted that it wouldn’t fit our luggage and tried hard to get us to upgrade to a Land Rover at an extra £60 per day, totaling £3000 even after a supposed 50% discount. We found it too expensive and decided to try fitting our luggage first, which we did successfully. Is a 3008 the same class as an A4 estate? We were so annoyed that we didn't argue much more. Eventually, due to cross-border fees and one-way rental charges, the total cost was about the same as other rental companies. In the future, we will ask for all details up front. We used to rent from Europcar, where the displayed price was what you paid, and it felt straightforward. No wonder Hertz gets low ratings; there are too many hidden charges.
