There was a delay of around 30 minutes for the vehicle.
It had some marks on it which were duly noted by staff.
Due to the delay, Apex Car Rentals, offered and provided us an extra 1.5 hours return time and refunded 20% of the rental cost.
The staff member looking after us was excellent.
The car provided was very new, a 2024 model. However, I don't recommend this company because if you don't choose the zero excess full insurance, they require an extremely high deposit (I didn't encounter this issue at other companies, nor was I informed about it beforehand when booking). Additionally, the deposit refund process is extremely slow. Other companies usually refund within a few days to a week, but it's been over two weeks since I returned the car and I still haven't received the refund.
Counter help at pickup was friendly and helpful. I noted that the tire tread was very close to required safety replacement. Then during trip a piece of gravel poked a hole through tread surface and the tire shop would not repair it due to tread depth. I ended up having to buy Apex a new tire.
Still waiting, for the return of the $100AUD deposit for toll charges.
