The representative asked the staff member to take the call, but she refused and withheld the rental agreement from me. After a long standoff, a manager-like Black gentleman took the call and handled the situation. Fortunately, I have had multiple rental experiences, but if it were a first-time renter, that female staff member might have succeeded. This issue is not specific to DOLLAR; it could happen with any company. Everyone should be cautious and promptly involve customer support to avoid lots of trouble.
