They promoted the roadside assistance service, but it was unclear and ended up costing me a few dozen dollars.

The queue is understandable, but I paid for Chinese service which was not actually provided. There was a dispute when returning the car as they tried to charge for excess mileage (though the order stated unlimited mileage) and for the GPS device (which was barely functional). I strongly requested Chinese service, but the staff said no one could speak Chinese. After difficult negotiations, they agreed not to charge the above fees, but I still have not received a refund of over 200 dollars!

After waiting in line to reach the counter, the man initially greeted us with a smile but then spent about three minutes adjusting his watch before asking for our rental documents. He claimed we hadn't purchased any of the insurance options, even though I bought all the insurances on Zuzuche. I checked my order and confirmed we had them. When I called Zuzuche customer service, they confirmed I had purchased all the insurances. The man then tried to up-sell us a larger car for an extra $10 per day, which we declined. He insisted we prepay $67 for refueling, saying we should return the car with an empty tank, even though a full tank of gas for the Nissan we rented costs only $27. He then asked for a $75 deposit and demanded my signature, saying I could talk to the manager afterward because many people were waiting in line behind us. With no other option, I signed and spoke to the manager, who was the first person I saw. The manager promised to refund the deposit. When returning the car 15 hours earlier than planned, I asked the manager if I could get a refund for the unused time, but was told it was not possible. I had read online reviews about Dollar's poor service and aggressive charges, but experiencing it firsthand was worse than I imagined. I will never rent from Dollar again.

Many people waited in line for over an hour just to reach the counter. Then, they informed me that my reservation didn’t exist. After spending nearly two hours there, I agreed to rent a Suburban as a walk-in, thinking it was a system error since they mentioned they had just upgraded their computer system that morning at 10am. Instead of paying $466 per week as per my reservation, I ended up paying $393.01 for just one day. A one-day rental costs as much as a week's reservation. I called customer service and realized later that this was a company-wide practice: they lure you in with low prices and then overcharge you.
