Unwilling to help, for example, no staff were willing to help install the baby seat. In the end, we had to ask the manager. Compared to the service from Hertz in Japan, it's far behind.
I have rented cars from Hertz in many places, but the experience at the Vancouver airport was quite poor. They kept pushing additional insurance even though I emphasized multiple times that I had already purchased full coverage. They insisted that towing fees were not included, and so on.
Rented two cars, but when it was our turn at the store, the staff processed one car and then left us saying his shift was over! After unsuccessful negotiations, we had to switch to another staff member. We had reserved the car for 11 AM, but when we went to pick up the second car in the afternoon around 2 PM, it wasn't ready. They said it had just been returned and was being inspected! We had to wait for almost two hours with multiple promises of 'in half an hour' or 'in fifteen minutes.' It was very frustrating! However, the return process was quick.
