When I checked the car rental agreement, I said I didn't need extra insurance and called the rental service's customer support to intervene. The representative asked the staff member to take the call, but she refused and withheld the rental agreement from me. After a long standoff, a manager-like Black gentleman took the call and handled the situation. Fortunately, I have had multiple rental experiences, but if it were a first-time renter, that female staff member might have succeeded. This issue is not specific to DOLLAR; it could happen with any company. Everyone should be cautious and promptly involve customer support to avoid lots of trouble.
