The Thrifty - Sydney Airport car rental location is in terminal

You can walk to the counter of Thrifty - Sydney Airport car rental.

You can find in T1 between arrival gates A and B. In T2, at baggage collections in front of carousel 5. In T3, in front of carousel 4 in the Qantas baggage collection area. The vehicles are collected at the central car park location (P1) which is located between Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, All collections and returns must be made from Domestic Terminal Car Park.

Drop-off Instructions

Drop off the car to the Rental Car Return Area in central car park location (P1) which is located between Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. You can find in T1 between arrival gates A and B. In T2, at baggage collections in front of carousel 5. In T3, in front of carousel 4 in the Qantas baggage collection area. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, All collections and returns must be made from Domestic Terminal Car Park.

booked GLA180, got a C200, which is a bit small for my size. Overall experience is pretty good, counter is easy to find and i didnt need to wait for long time to pick up the car. pick up and drop off is self service, could be a bit tricky for newbies.

The staff's attitude was indifferent, and they looked at customers with a sideways glance, clearly showing discrimination against Chinese people. They charged a $300 deposit when I paid with a card, but only returned $200 when I came back. Additionally, there was an unexplained $20 charge, which the bank confirmed was deducted by the rental company.

Very happy! Service was excellent, and picking up and returning the car was easy. Last year in the USA, the rental car company forced me to rent a GPS and downgraded my car to push their insurance, making me wait from 11 PM to 4 AM. In Australia, this rental company provided great service, upgraded my car when my booked model wasn't available, and didn't pressure me to buy insurance. I will definitely rent from this company for future international trips and recommend my driving friends to do the same.
