A vehicle can be driven across the Canadian border at any time, no matter what location it was rented from. It is recommended to have PERS coverage when using vehicle in cross border rentals for the US and Canada. The renter must have a valid driver's license and rental record to cross the border into Canada. Canadian law does require that everyone entering the country have a passport, so everyone in the vehicle must have the proper identification. ジープのグランドチェロキーか同等の車ということで予約しましたが、当日、グランドチェロキーではなくToyota 4 Runnerでした。アメリカだったので、アメ車のグラチェロが良かったのですが、かなわず。しかしながら、4 Runnerはよく走ってくれて、故障の兆候は皆無でした。ただし、タイヤのコンデションはよくなく、もっど貸出時に慎重にチェックしておくべきだと思いました。ただ、走破はできました。途中、ネジを踏んでパンクしましたが、ロードサービスに電話して、結局タイヤ屋で修理してもらいましたが、至って迅速で無償でした。貸出時に、4Runnerよりも新しい車はないのかときいたところ、何台か提案してくれたりと、非常に親切でした。

We have never in all our life dealt with more unfriendly and rude counter staff. We did our best to be pleasant customers in dealing with what was extremely bad customer service. Prison Guards are more friendly with inmates than this company is with thier customers. The car was so dirty as well. I have a stain on my clothing just from dirt in the drink bottle holder. Car also stunk. They also charge an exceedingly high price on tolls compared with other companies. So watch out if you think you are getting a good price on the car... they sting you with toll administration fees. On return we once again were met with very rude staff. And waited an extremely long time, having to then rush to our flight. I don't think this company cares to have customers. We never complained about all the above as we realized they didn't care how customers felt.

Very unfriendly service, all staff have a bad attitude, and they just keep asking for extra charges to make more money. They wouldn't give the car if you arrive before the scheduled time, and they charge an extra $60 for returning the car not even 30 minutes late, which is more than a day's rental. The worst part is the terrible attitude, especially from the Black staff who could be very rude. The worst car rental experience ever. Never rent from this company again, never rent from this company again, never rent from this company again.

The agent misled us into purchasing E-Zpass for $350, but it wasn't activated and couldn't be used. We had to pay tolls out of our own pocket throughout the trip. When returning the car, we didn't get a refund, only the toll fees we paid ourselves were reimbursed, which amounted to a few dozen dollars. It might have been an oversight that E-Zpass wasn't activated, but I explicitly said it was too expensive and unnecessary when renting the car. The agent falsely claimed that many places don’t accept cash, but during our two-week trip, there was only one such toll station. Considering the toll costs, $350 is unreasonable. Moreover, not having E-Zpass activated meant we couldn't enjoy the convenience of automatic toll payments, yet we were still charged $350, which is completely incomprehensible and unacceptable.

Counter staff was not helpful at all, very aggressive and did not answer any of my questions. She was very un polite and charged me over the price for the agreed price without any clarification and when I asked first she ignored and then the 2nd time she answered me very aggressively and she said how would I know in a very aggressive way. Also for the security deposit, she charged me way above the amount that was specified. Conclusion : this is my first and last time to deal with Thrifty because of this person.
