Excellent! The car was in great condition, and the pickup and drop-off processes were very quick. The staff was very friendly, giving us a perfect rental experience!
The staff was very detailed and responsible when explaining the car pickup process. We accidentally drove to the departure level when returning the car, and the staff member came to pick us up.

The local rental company added a 3.4% card fee without informing us, forcing us to pay it. This was very unpleasant and led to a long negotiation at the airport parking lot without resolution. We had to contact the car rental platform after returning home to get a refund. The car provided was not the model we had booked, and it was very dirty with stained fabric seats. The features of the car were not explained, and there was no place to rent a phone holder (be sure to bring your own). They did not offer the option to add full insurance and directed us to contact the rental platform.
8Staff very friendly. Car could be in better shape. Overall, would repeat it again
The AC was not working. The windscreen was working but couldn't throw water (damaged??)
There was a weird noise on the engine.
BUT, the car served its purpose and the staff was really friendly
We have received a small car, as booked (extremely useful for the small streets of Mauritius).
We have appreciated the office of the car rental is in the airport area/no shuttle needed).
Our flights were late 24h (and Qeeq announced the rental company on our behalf about the delay). Mauriconnect accepted to keep the price for us (instead of marking it as a no show). We appreciate a lot this support.
Royal Car Rental didn’t have a desk at the usual Car Rental area, there was no sign displayed as a meeting point. Instead we had to call them to have a representative come meet us. Luckily my friend had a local SIM card at this point or else we’d have been stuck. The rep then walked us across to a random part of the Carpark where the transaction was made out of the back of a car. The whole thing felt a little dodgy to be honest.
When I got into the car the screen was displaying the navigation in Japanese, I was instructed this couldn’t be changed. Worse still it couldn’t be switched off!
The staff were very impatient when we picked up the car. The customer hadn't finished checking, but in less than five minutes, the staff left. They didn't provide the paperwork initially; we had to chase after them to get it. There were some paint scratches on the car, which they didn't inform us about. I found them myself and only then did the staff reluctantly mark it on the paperwork. Before we could finish inspecting, it started raining heavily, and the one staff member left without saying anything. We had no choice but to drive away without fully checking the vehicle. When returning the car, they inspected it very meticulously, even crawling on the ground to look, and claimed there was a crack in the bumper. However, we had only driven from the airport to the hotel and hadn't used the car for the three days, as we stayed at the hotel and used the hotel's shuttle service. The mileage check confirms this. The crack was clearly old, and we had to argue with them. Eventually, their manager came and resolved the issue, but we almost missed our flight. Additionally, the deposit is extremely high, nearly 5000 RMB. As of now, we haven't received the deposit back, and we don't know if they'll deduct any money. Make sure to thoroughly inspect every part of the car when picking it up.
Privately owned, extremely unreliable; none of the emergency contact numbers work. It's a local car rental company without any storefront, and neither airport staff nor police have heard of it. I don't understand how it became a partner with the rental platform.
There was no counter at airport.
The guys were waiting for me outside with the car.
The fuel was about a quarter so had to fill up on the way which was a hassle.
The car I booked wasnt delivered and couldnt be bothered to argue or change.
7.3Pick-up location was not clear on confirmation. Good value, however.
The excess and pre-authorisation amount for the vehicle was high, which led to some confusion at pick-up. The staff at both pick-up and drop-off points were friendly and courteous.
5.3Disappointing rental, find someone based at the airport
No prior indication that SURPRICE RENT A CAR was off site. I arrived earlier than planned and could not find my car. I could not find any mention of Surprice Rent A Car at the airport. No other rental agency knew of Surprice Rent A Car. Another rental agency was kind enough to help find them. I was told to wait in the arrivals hall. Still nothing. A taxi driver made another phone call to help find them.
When the car arrived, it looked like it had been in an accident and had been repaired. The fuel level was already on Empty, with the fuel warning light on. I had to get fuel immediately.
The car was delivered to me in the airport car park, meaning I had to pay a parking fee to exit the airport.
I arrived at sunset. By the time I had refuelled the car, it was dark and I had to turn on the headlights. Only one headlight was working! This made my 45 minute drive VERY dangerous.
Surprice's solution to the broken headlight was for me to pay to have it repaired myself and they would refund the cost. They confirmed the refund would be waiting for me when I returned the car at the end of my hire. This was reconfirmed on my final day of the rental. When I arrived at the airport, they did not have money ready and claimed they through they could give it to me the following day. HOW? I was leaving the country! After some time of searching purses and wallets, they found enough to cover the repaired headlight.
Disappointing.

I paid the full amount for the rental on ZUZUCHE. When I went to pick up the car, they said I hadn't paid and asked for an additional 200+ USD. After a half-hour delay, they realized it was their mistake and finally gave me the car. The car had only two bars of fuel, over 50,000 kilometers, was very old, and not cleaned. When returning the car, there were notes on the rental form about existing scratches, but they still claimed I caused them!
In the end, I was extorted for a 200 rupee cleaning fee, claiming the car was not clean, even though it wasn't dirty at all! I even gave 50 rupees as a tip, but that's just how it is in this African country. I've never encountered this situation in other countries before!
I was shocked that such a big brand would have such unprofessional staff in these less developed African countries. When returning the car, I had already filled up the tank, but during the inspection, the staff shook the car body by standing on the passenger door frame, causing the fuel gauge to show a warning. They then claimed the tank wasn't full and demanded extra money. Fortunately, I noticed and did not agree. After moving the car back and forth, the fuel gauge returned to normal. The staff quickly explained that it was a malfunction. However, they still charged us an additional 300 rupees, even though we gave him a 50-rupee tip. Moreover, the actual car model was smaller than what I had booked. I have never encountered such issues when renting cars in America, Europe, or Australia before!

The service counter was unattended, no indication of when staff would return. The vehicle was dirty, old, the windshield washer fluid and brake oil were both at the minimum level. Poor service!
There was nothing unsatisfactory with the supplier. My dissatisfaction lies with QEEQ for not passing on the information about my child safety seat to the rental company.

They said it would be refunded a few days after drop-off, but it's been a week and I haven't seen the refund yet!
The navigation was not useful; we didn't use it at all. The vehicle condition was not great. One of the tires was flat on the second night, but luckily, the hotel staff helped us inflate it.
They promised a full tank, but gave us a car with an empty tank and refused to fill it up. During the car inspection, they pretended to record two scratches but didn't actually mark them on the form. They tricked me into paying 1500 rupees, and when returning the car, who can manage to return it with an exactly empty tank to the airport? I still had more than half a tank left. Really wanted to curse.

Frequently asked questions
Q1.What is an insurance excess?
The excess is the amount you'll only be liable for in case of damage(under Collision Damage Waiver) or theft(under Theft Protection) of the vehicle. Information about the excess will be clearly stated in the price inclusion when you reserve a car on QEEQ.
Q2. How can I add an addtional driver?
You are advised to make a request upon your arrival at the rental counter. Additional charge per day will incur unless '1 Additional Driver Included' is stipulated on the rental. Please note that the same licence and age requirement applys to the additonal driver. The addtional driver is supposed to present the required licence document along with the main driver at pickup.
Q3.What if I want to pick up or drop off my rental car out of office hours?
QEEQ will show you the car offers available at your chosen time on the search results. However, pick-up or drop-off out of general opening hours may subject to an extra fee unless self-service pick-up or drop-off is available. After you reserve a car on QEEQ, we will inform you of specific policy of the car hire company by email.
Q4. Can I take the hired car to another country or cross border?
If you want to pick up your car in one country and drop it in another, your search results will show you cars you can do that with. If you're planning to cross any borders during your trip, bear in mind: 1. You may have to pay more. There are often extra fees, taxes or additional cover you'll pay at the car hire counter. 2.It may not be allowed. Depending on where you're hiring, you may not be able to take your car to another country. Please email us if you want to take your hire car into a different country during your trip, and we'll talk you through your options.
Q5. Can I pick up my car at one location and return it at different location?
Yes. You can pick up the vehicle in one place and drop it off in another. An ‘one-way fee’ will incur. Whether it is inclued in the rental price or what additional cost may arise will be clearly stated at the time of booking on QEEQ. Please inform the car hire company of your drop-off location when you pick up the vehicle or contact them directly during your trip. You will find a phone number on the rental agreement you signed at pickup.
